Why are our government officials doing these things and saying these things that don't seem to help us or our country?
For many of us, the path our governmental leaders have recently taken has been perplexing. Many of the policy decisions that perhaps sounded good (at least to some) have turned out to be not only clearly deleterious, but often catastrophic for our country. Without hyperbole, I mean catastrophic for our economy, our national defense capability, our national sovereignty, the safety and security of citizens, and our standing among other nations of the world.
We hear that inflation is "temporary," that "we are not in a recession," that the administration "feels our pain" at the gas pump and is making a historic effort to bring down prices (though we should really focus on the fact that we are in an exciting "Great Transition"). Even though our money doesn't go nearly as far as it used to, our economy is in the midst of a "booming recovery."

These are all good possibilities, each with a degree of validity, but they don't seem like enough. They might explain some things, but not all of them. When decisions are made that are blatantly unconstitutional, when policies are adopted that do not benefit U.S. citizens, and may even demonstrably hurt them, one might rightly begin to believe that there is more at play here — that there may be an even more insidious agenda afoot. I believe that there is. I believe that the goal, simply put, is to make America less, in every respect.
If the U.S. is arguably the most powerful, wealthiest, and most independent nation, with safeguards to avoid tyranny and subversion built into its founding documents, it becomes a major (if not the major) obstacle to a globalist one-world

I can’t believe that so many here still believe that this lies solely on the democrat party!
They couldn’t have gotten this far without the consent and help of their quiet twins in the Republican Party.
This isn’t - democrats vs. Us..
It’s Washington DC and its vast bureaucracy vs. Us.
THEY’RE united.
They still have us playing the ‘pick your team and fight your neighbor, who’s for the other team’ game. = divide and conquer..
The only way to beat this would be to organize. Alas, they’ve been slowly making it illegal for anyone outside of THEIR leftist, totalitarian beliefs to organize.
And we sure ain’t gonna vote our way out of this.
Some men just want to see the world burn.
Most democrat voters are just 'paid off'. Bribed.
I don’t agree with the authors idea as to impetus.
No, this is about money. Virtually all the bad policies enrich people who are invested in companies that make money on those policies that harm the US.
The politicians have money returned to them by insider trading, family members on international company boards, and then placed into Delaware trusts. Basically it’s a payoff to sell out your country for cash.
While many international corporations play this way, the Chinese are just really good at subverting American politicians. They really get the Pay to play, and they use the nations borders to protect thier agents.
When things don’t make sense for the majority of working Americans, and times keep getting worse, and the policies are directed against the people and their futures, you can bet money is driving it. Ultimately, I think the goal is collapse, and then a small aristocracy group running a more fascist America. That’s what the Democrats have been doing since Before Joe Biden.
Welcome to the party Kevin. Where have you been the last three decades?
We?
The downfall started with the election of the degenerate Bill/Hillary Clinton co-presidency. It accelerated under the hedonist Obama’s which led to homosexual marriage, which spawned transsexual anarchy. Throw in the destruction of the Catholic church, led by an atheist Marxist Pope, and here we are. Through ALL of this destruction, there has been NO opposition force except for Donald Trump.
“Welcome to the party Kevin. Where have you been the last three decades?”
Don’t be so hard on Kevin. He still hasn’t figured out why his throat burns when his wife gives him a beer, or why he sometimes finds ground glass in his food, or why his kids are a different race than him or his wife. Kevin is no different than a typical Republican in the House or Senate. He’s sure there must be an innocent explanation.
You have stupid ones that believe keeping society all functioning at the level of the least of its members is fair.
You have people who, for pure greed, want to sell America to the globalists to be owned.
Then you have people who really think the Tower of Babel will lead to a Star Trek world.

Boy did you ever NAIL it!
Needed repeating...loudly
Most people still don’t believe this. Most democrats appear to encourage this, but don’t realize the tragic result that will follow. The future of this country is threatened by the blissful ignorance of its people.
It’s called “A long train of abuses and usurpations evincing a design to reduce the People to despotism.”
And all that entails.
... and bolstered by good intentions ("well, we meant well; "we're doing this for your own good" ... you know the mantra)
And be king of the ashes. 😕
My 18-year-old self at the time of Clinton’s win, not heavily involved in politics at all, as most aren’t at that age, felt a warning in my spirit and I said to my coworker that night that Bill Clinton winning the presidency is the start of the downfall of this nation. I didn’t understand why or how but it was a strong feeling.
The conclusion of the article seems correct. They are “normalizing” the United States to Third World status.
Nice to see you awake. I was awakened to this in 1986.
The Viet Cong and the Taliban would disagree.
Clinton and Obama administrations, equalizers. Elites exempt.
