"In the past 24 hours, in their effective operations the Russian forces eliminated 48 tanks, 46 infantry fighting vehicles, 37 other combat armored vehicles, 8 pickup vehicles with large-caliber machine-guns and over 1,200 Ukrainian servicemen," Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported

From the article, I would be surprised if Ukraine had enough armor to bring to the battle to line up with the numbers the Russian source is siting as being destroyed.
“I wish there was one news source that we could trust in this war but there is not.”
It’s called disinformation, which is part of psyops; all nations practice it, especially during war. Russians are masters of disinformation; indeed, some others may appear amateurish compared with the Russians.
Like how the Japanese were blaring huge victories over Allied Fleets all the while B29s are firebombing Japan at will. The 20mm defense cannons were removed from the B29s to save weight because there was no opposition. While the bombs were falling the loudspeakers screamed of victories.
An early “Ghost of Kiev” operation.
There is no need to jump to conclusions based on daily press releases. Reserve judgment for a while, the truth will surface soon enough. Clinging to daily drivel like this is a fool’s errand.
Ukraine has ZERO chance of gaining back any territory. Tens of thousands of Ukrainians have already died. And, Ukraine is shrinking. All that will continue unless it unconditionally surrenders.
Because "unconditional surrender" is what every country does when it is trying to retain the territory it still controls.
That's just a bad joke.
In any case, the decision whether to continue fighting is up to the Ukrainians, just as our ancestors' decision whether to continue fighting against the British during the Revolution was up to them.
If they don't want to surrender and return to living under the bootheel of Moscow, that's up to them.
One commentator made an interesting point - that because of Ukraine’s long-standing corruption, internal divisions, outdated equipment, constant political chaos, integration of neo-Nazi/Azov brigades into regular Army after 2014 Maidan, etc... there has been no real leadership or strong institutional cohesiveness in the Ukraine Army over the last 30 years.
It means they are stuck with what they know - old Soviet tactics - massed human assaults, lack of combined arms, lack of integration of new technologies, etc...
So for them, an offensive means - come out of your bunkers, charge at the enemy, and hope some artillery has hit the places you are charging at.
Ad without any air cover, these men are ultimately sitting ducks.
“The Duran/Alex Christoforou, Alexander Mercouris, The New Atlas. Sonar 21.com with Larry Johnson, Moon of Alabama.com and Gonzalo Lira to name a few.”
Too funny! They are about as trustworthy as William Joyce in WWII, perhaps best known by the sobriquet Lord Haw-Haw.
“Both sides pump out reports that they are totally dominating and the other side is collapsing.”
When Russia was losing the resources and men it was pointed out that it is much easier to defend (with a lot less men) than it is to take territory. This is true for both sides.
A dug in, fortified position makes killing the advancing troops canon fodder.
Methinks TASS doth protest too much.
“It’s embarrassing so many are buying the lies from the Biden regime.”
Says the guy who constantly buys lies from the Putin regime.
“If there was a history of US interventions of this sort that resulted in any legitimate benefit to anyone we’d be able to cite it...”
You mean like how the US lend-lease operations saved Russia’s ass from the Germans in WW2? Like that?
You are citing Russian propaganda TASS. Where are Viking kitties when you need them.
Yep, and just like the efforts to trade “Land for Peace” in Israel, it would have just encouraged Putin to continue using violence to get what he wants.
Actually the US and China and the UK and any nation with satellite surveillance knows exactly what’s happening. And Russia and the Ukies are fully aware of that. It’s the people who have no idea. And that’s the way govts want it.
So you're calling Putin a sociopath...
Regards,
“Only a sociopath would want to continue to inflict all that Ukraine.”
At least you admit Putin is a sociopath.
Nice try, but if the sources you listed won’t lie about the war, the Neocons here wont believe them.
That’s ridiculous. We’re in the 21st century. You are living your life in an old black and white movie and it’s almost over for you.
Iraq. Libya. Syria. Afghanistan.
