The 18-year-old woman who accused former Bills punter Matt Araiza and two other San Diego State University players of gang-raping her as a minor said she was left bleeding after the alleged assault took place at an off-campus party in October.
In an interview with CBS News, the unnamed woman said her phone was taken from her and her piercings were ripped out when Araiza, 22, and two of his college teammates, Zaver Leonard and Nowlin “Pa’a” Ewaliko, allegedly assaulted her for more than an hour last year. The incident allegedly happened on Oct. 17 at a Halloween party at a home where Araiza had been living.
“I reported it the day after it happened. I was 17 years old and I had no idea who Matt Araiza was,” the woman said, as her face was hidden during the on-camera interview. CBS News showed photos of the victim’s neck and legs, which contained bruises.
“I was crying, and my friend asked me what happened. And I told her, ‘I had just been raped.'”…

An accusation is al it takes and your career is over.
It says right in the excerpt that she reported the rape the next day.

Getting cut does not ruin a career. Especially for a punter. Punters get cut all the time. If he’s acquitted and stays in game shape he’ll get another shot. Many highly public companies dump people that get accused of stuff, bad press is bad business.
Doubtful… victim narrative is that she was face down the whole time and blacked out.
Smells like Duke Lacrosse unless there is DNA evidence.

The school certainly wasn’t notified at the time and I doubt a San Diego DA would have at on the investigation for 11 months.
WTH are piercings doing in the body of a minor? Irresponsible parents...

Well, there you go, that’s what you’re supposed to do. Still needs to be proven in a court of law, but at least I won’t dismiss this claim out of hand.

True, that isn’t “reporting it” as she claimed. And diary entries can be written months later, so that isn’t much evidence either.
Every woman knows (or should know by now) that you have to go to the police immediately to preserve evidence. So if they don’t do that, I have to assume there probably isn’t any evidence to preserve...
The NFL already made it clear rape is barely a crime.
If my 15 year old daughter gets her ears pierced I’m an irresponsible parent?
