Apologies for the pay wall. Hopefully the excerpt covers the salient points.

Unions are *why* a burger flipper in Cali can make $22.00/hr. Of course, your burger probably costs no less than $15.00

It was just yesterday they were all clamoring for $15/hr. That didn’t last long.

Why don’t they declare us all serfs, property of the government.

How very Bolshevik of them.

or worm burger
cuz when they outlaw fertilizer even veggies will be scarce
so why just fast food?
why not all businesses?
why just wages?
why not hiring and promotions?
maybe the owner should just go home while the govt runs their business into the ground

It will be easy to make $22/hr, because you’ll be the only person there.

the owner should stick around to mop the floors
who wants to pay 22/hr for someone to mop floors?

Fast food is the camel’s nose under the tent.
They may get away with it then in a few years declare it a roaring success and start adding industries and jobs to the pile.
And they think businesses are fleeing California now?
They ain’t seen nothing yet.

Shh, don't give them ideas.
To: OrangeHoof
You will see an immediate reaction by the public....if your burger-menu is $17 for just one single person, then business will take a hit. Just another reason to leave the state.
Course, it’ll speed up the process of automation, with 80-percent of the burger-flipper jobs gone by 2030 (my prediction).
