A force of about one thousand men, under STUART, succeeded to reaching the railroad, Tuesday night last, at a point one mile north of Catlett's Station, where the road crosses Cedar Creek, and after a very brief skirmish with the infantry guard, and dispersing a small force of our cavalry, who were on scouting duty, deliberately proceeded to burn the new bridge across Cedar Creek. Having accomplished this, they turned their attention to removing the railroad track at intervals for a distance of nearly two miles, and removing some of the rails, so that the road cannot be operated again until iron is sent from this point to replace the removed rails, which will be done to-day. Thank you so much for posting these articles. It’s a little thrill to read accounts of the events that took place in my neighborhood, a little bit of time-travel.
A Confederate win at Bull Run will make the overall count of wins & losses to date almost even.
Have they worked out a tie breaker formula?
“Have they worked out a tie breaker formula?”
LOL.
Yes, it’s called Gettysburg.

Pretty sure it won't be "sudden death", more likely they just keep at it until one side or the other calls it quits.
