Maybe they are and if so, my mistake. When they are voting and passing laws that impact millions of people, wouldn’t it be important to know they aren’t under the influence of mind altering substances or alcohol impaired?
Because it’s not a requirement in the constitution. Why is this a needed vanity post?
And required to reveal their tax returns and audited financial statements?
“Some animals are MORE equal than others”.

Nanzi’s measurements would crash the detector machines.
Because if they weren't on dope, they wouldn't post vanity threads as NEWS.
Like you did.
Silly Wabbit...
“...under the influence of mind altering substances or alcohol impaired...”

Well, if so, it would accurately reflect their constituents.
Legislating under the influence sadly only starts with their potent potables. It’s the inability to test them for, just for example, ChiCom money that’s far more distressing.
Why are any vanity posts needed. First, I wasn’t sure it isn’t a requirement, secondly, and I am just asking, why are corporate and other private sector employees required to be tested and employees for the people aren’t?
And who would do the testing? Anyone other than themselves would be a violation of separation of powers. Like it or not Congress polices itself.
The House and Senate have never drafted a law requiring it.
IQ and cognitive tests would be good too.
WOW. I didn’t realize I was going to offend so many with a simple question vanity post. Frankly, I feel drugs and alcohol are current events.
The Rats are high on something. Either drugs or power or both.
Just before the next State of the Union:
No need to be upset but the two dozen medical staff circulating from the rear of the room are going to test each and every person here for drugs.
Of course there’s no need to worry as only the guilty will be in trouble.
(Pandemonium as the room is filled with people trampling and elbowing each other to get out.)
Why aren’t they whipped?
How about mandating that the body politic can only be made up of a certain percentage of lawyers? Its how we’ve got the monstrous bils and deficits we have.
“Why aren’t House and Senate members regularly tested for drugs and alcohol?”
$$$$$$$$$
Because tests are for unimportant people.
Because they are your betters and how dare you even pose the question? You better get your mind right or expect a visitation.
Because they write the laws. Would you write a law that said you had to pee in a cup?
