The first four batters in the Dodgers lineup (Betts, Turner, Freeman, and Smith) is the best in baseball.

Wow, gorgeous and so effortless. The author points out how strongly dance and athletics work together and are alike. His slide really shows that.

The Washington Nationals are currently 42-83. It was a great time just a few years ago when Trea Turner, et al., were playing with the Nats and they won the World Series.

Damn, I watched that home plate slide over and over and over and the only thing I can think of is that dude is sliding on ice..........
Who would have ever thought that with all the base stealing records in MLB, this guy and his sliding prowess would make headline news.....Just beautiful.

Trea has been over the last four years the best player in baseball

He hardly loses any momentum in the slide....goes full bore until the last moment and by the time he drops he’s still going very fast...

I don’t know how he does it. When I played ball, my cleats-first slide always tore up my shins.
So I switched to head-first. It didn’t give me brush-burns on my legs, but the opposing players always purposely stepped on my hand

I look at this very differently. Most of his trajectory on the ground is AFTER he touches home plate.
In that particular case it looks like he would have been better off just crossing home plate standing up.
