An Australian woman who transitioned to male, before realizing it was a mistake, is suing a psychiatrist after he approved her female-to-male hormone treatment following a single meeting — and later signed off on two surgeries to remove her breasts and uterus.
Jay Langadinos, now 31, was just 19 when she first met Dr. Patrick Toohey, a veteran Sydney psychiatrist, in May 2010.
The teen was referred to him by her endocrinologist to determine if she was suitable for a gender transition.
The specialist wrote that Langadinos was very young and needed “a throughout psychiatric work-up before embarking on hormone treatment,” according to a statement of claim filed in the New South Wales Supreme Court and cited by the Sydney Morning Herald.
After his first meeting with the teen, Toohey concluded that Langadinos suffered from gender dysphoria and was fit for testosterone therapy, the document states.
The next time Langadinos had an appointment with Toohey in February 2012, she told him she was eager to undergo “top” surgery to have her breasts surgically removed as part of her transition.
Toohey approved the double mastectomy for his patient, who underwent the procedure in April of that year, according to the court filing.
A month later, Langadinos met with Toohey for the third and final time to discuss having her uterus removed.
According to the lawsuit, Toohey wrote that he could find no “psychiatrist contraindication to proceeding with hysterectomy as part of gender transition,” clearing the way for Langadinos, then 22, to undergo surgery in November.
Now, nearly a decade later, Langadinos — who no longer identifies as male — is suing Toohey for professional negligence, claiming that he green-lit her hormone therapy even after she told him she suffered from social phobia.

How is it stupidity is no longer our own fault? But I would agree that any doctor who took the Hippocratic oath should be ashamed of himself for condoning this.
Suing him won’t get her boobs or uterus back, but will provide her with unlimited funds to drug and drink herself to death... foolish person.
Patient: “Doctor, I am unhappy.”
Doctor: “Well, we could mutilate your genitals with sharp surgical implements. That might help.”
Patient: “Let’s give it a whirl.”
Doctors who don’t try to prevent this stuff should be prosecuted harshly.
Any doctor participating in this is right there in the same field of the Venn diagram on doctor quality with Dr. Mengele.

Until these leftist Quacks perceive there are some repercussions for their actions they will continue to do this. They should legitimately be held to a higher standard than an emotionally disturbed 19-year-old for crying out loud.

The joke is that psychiatrists are crazier than anyone. But it’s not a joke. My best friend in High School was turned into a lunatic who saw spirits by shrinks and major tranquilizers. There was nothing wrong with him except that he would obey is insane mother who was into astrology and numerology. She was the one who should have been locked up. But the shrink was willing to take her money to “treat” her son. He eventually suicided. Poor kid. Evil mother and shrink.

He’d have been sued if he disapproved and told her she was a female and to accept it. Can’t win.
There are large numbers of article studying sexual differences (dimorphism) in different species including humans. One specific journal is THE BIOLOGY OF SEXUAL DIFFERENCES,.
The doctors should not only be sued for uninformed malpractice, but should lose their license to practice medicine.
Attempting to change someones “gender” by the excision or pathetic creation of a less than exact duplicate of a desired physical part is incorrect. There are so many documented physical differences. One of two alterations is an utterly incomplete transition.
If I had intractable bone pain with no KNOWN treatable pathology, I cannot get a doctor to remove the bone to treat the pain. Those doctors are fools.

Anything “psychology” as a profession is as credible as one who advertises their psychic skills for money. Both are fraudulent.

There is one thing that could put a great big dent into all this gender reassignment surgery fad and that is make anyone wanting to do it go out and earn the actual money it costs instead of using their socialized medicine or mommy and daddy’s health insurance. There’d be a lot less of this.
