On Aug. 21, 1992, Randy Weaver, Kevin Harris, Sammy Weaver and dog Striker were walking on a road in the Kaniksu National Forest of Idaho.
The location, Ruby Ridge, 30 years ago, became a bloody battleground between Randy Weaver and U.S. Marshals and the FBI who were looking for him because he was suspected of selling two, illegal sawed-off shotguns to a government informant.

All because they thought he was either going to sell or sold a sawed off shotgun.
Lon Horiuchi retired to Hawaii and is loving his time on the beach.
When?
During prohibition, the problem should have been solved by allowing brewers and distillers to continuing working and selling their wares.
Without the FBI and the IRS, the gang problem would never have grown to be so big. The same goes for the stupid laws against MJ. With your own kids, you want to set your line for them, closer than you are ready to go to war against them. My parents told me no MJ, so I hid it from them really well. We all lived through it.
With alcohol prohibition, they should have just let boys be boys, and work hard for to repeal the stupid law.
If I remember correctly the feds were staked out his land without a warrant, shot the dog, son returns fire, kills the spotter, sniper kills son.
Every August 21 and April 19, I have to be “careful” of my comments. I have a picture of the Waco memorial on my desk at work. People ask - what is that, I rarely get a follow up question.
Interestingly, a buddy of mine went to Waco with his wife years ago. He knew my opinions so he drove down to get a picture of the memorial. He swears the FBI was in multiple houses. He go nervous just taking the picture. He told me if he got stopped he would have told them he was getting the picture for me (name address phone number family members or anything else they wanted). Now he is not a paranoid conspiracy theory person like me but he figures he was being recorded, photographed…. When he went down the road.
Great friend. He got me my picture and it’s framed and sitting in my office between a wedding picture and a couple of the kids picture.
Self admission- I knew Waco was going to end in major deaths. I sat in my house 1000 miles away and did nothing. I am pathetic from that perspective. Bark and no bite.
I did post on Janet Reno’s “burn in hell obituary page” the condolences from the children that died on April 19th. It got removed.
That the bad attitude towards freedom scum kept telling him to do.
Anyone with a hacksaw or cutoff saw and a file could do the job.
