Security cameras captured the shocking moment a suspect sucker-punched a man at a New York City mall, leaving the victim unconscious.
Video released by the New York Police Department on Monday shows a man standing in line at a register when two men approached him from behind.
One of the men, wearing black basketball shorts and a white t-shirt with black sneakers, soon crouches down behind the man and punches him in the side of the face, causing the 36-year-old victim to fall face-down.
The two men then start to walk away, only for the suspect in the black shorts to return moments later and leave once he saw the man's motionless body.
Others in line at the Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn backed away after the attack, apparently stunned by what had just transpired, with one woman seen later moving the man's belongings closer to his lifeless body.
At one point, a security guard could be seen entering the frame, but casually walks past the scene even though the victim's body is still lying face down on the ground.
Authorities now say the unprovoked attack caused the victim 'serious physical injury,' and he was brought to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
Police also say that the victim did not appear to know his attackers and no words were exchanged between the two of them before the man punched him at around 6pm on Saturday.
They are now looking for the men involved in the attack, and have released video footage showing the suspect in the black basketball shorts exiting a black Honda Civic that evening.
Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

What’s truly pathetic is how NOBODY helps him. They stare and walk away. Security guard strolls by. One lady slowly puts his cell phone 5 feet from him. I guess so when he recovers he can call 911? So thoughtful.
Security guard is there to protect the store, not the shoppers, at least that’s probably what the guard is going to say to himself.

Well sir, I'd submit that once the rules are thrown out, no one will hold themselves to normal standards.
Consider that there's a whole group of people who have lived in compliant restraint with the expectations that the vast majority of people will live up to the American social contract.
If those constraints are removed, beyond any doubt, the situation would become far more dangerous.

I'm already 'geared up' for it, as I never get into my vehicle without multiple guns, auto loaders, extra mags and several boxes of ammo.
I once felt protected with just a single pistol but now, unless I can reach at least multiple weapons, I feel under protected.
I live 25 miles from Pittsburgh {not a super large city and it is fairly safe} but when I travel there I am always on high alert.
The only place that I entered in Pittsburgh in the last coupla years with out a gun was the Federal Building {you cannot enter there with a weapon}, and the IRS forced me to come in for a visit.
I used to go to downtown restaurants at least monthly, but now it is down to only a few times a year.

Will be finally willing to do what has needed to be done for a very long time. That is if the radical leftists don’t disarm all of the patriotic Americans first. The old saying “If guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns” applies here. And guess who the outlaws are.

We don’t.
If the lights go out in winter, that will resolve much of the situation on its own. I can’t believe how foolishly people dress in the winter because they are tough and it’s not that cold out. If they think they can survive out of doors like that, exposure will get them.
If dehydration doesn’t get them first.
Presuming that they will not be leaving the cities for several days until they figure out things are NOT going back to normal, they will already be compromised when they start out. That will not work in their favor either.
