A lot of hindsight CYOA going on . . . gonna be a lot of finger pointing.

Sadly, I fear this is merely an introduction to an era of even greater abuse of power — under the guise of “public health.”

The cdc needs to be completely dismantled from top to bottom.

The CDC blatantly lied to the public and acted in a political fashion - and now they want a pat on the back for “correcting” it?
Fu*k the federal government.

They knew from the beginning that the elderly had the highest risk...and waited...and waited...and waited....
And then they quarantined WELL, YOUNG people....shutting down any chance of herd immunity.

Scarf Lady and Fauci were responsible for shutting down the Country.
She, along with Fauci and others have a lot to answer for.

So does the CDC still have absolute power over all US home and apartment rentals?
Why not? The SEC is setting corporate “CO2 emissions” policy and the US Army is in the business of giving people sex-change operations?

Sounds to me like the direction they are heading is that they were not authoritarian and “lockdowny” enough. Next time they will recommend we really get it good and hard.

Yeah — thank God Birx was using Euro data at the time she was misleading America by following the science over the cliff. They haven’t walked the Euro data back (yet).

Much too late.
I can forgive CDC for being wrong.
I will not forgive them for applying the whole weight of the government to enforce the wrong solution.
I will not forgive them for silencing opposing voices, canceling scientists who disagreed, pulling licenses for doctors who prescribed HCQ or Ivermectin.
I will not forgive them for issuing a moratorium on mortgage, rent and evictions. They had no right to do that. How did that stick?
CDC should do research and advice only. Time to fire all the little tyrants in their ranks.

There are two layers within the CDC: 1) politically appointed bureaucrats who get paid a lot, and 2) conscientious interns who risk their lives traveling to the worst of the worst around the world to control outbreaks of ebola, cholera, etc., and who get paid comparatively little. Those who have been through the intern program, even if they are now part of the regular structure, are the best of the best—public servants at their finest. The politically appointed bureaucrats who have never risked their lives for little money because it was a noble thing to do, are sometimes a different breed entirely. Those in government employ include both the best and the worst. Unfortunately the reputation of the worst undeservedly sullies that of the best. I’ve never worked for the CDC, but I know a little about the internal workings. I have worked for other branches of the government, got fed up with it, and left. There are many, many people in government who couldn’t get a job in the private sector if they tried. Unfortunately, the true public servants in government have two jobs to do: their own and the jobs of those who are incompetent or immoral.

Health care became political years ago. But now we know about it.
