Outstanding post, in addition to being a beautiful one, Redeemed.

“Jesus Saves. Perfectly. Continuously. Determinedly. Without fail. With an Invincible Plan Procaimed, never to be faulted. Never disappointing His Father or Spirit.

“This is my confidence, never to be changed, and I hope and conclude yours also, SC!”

Amen, amen and amen, Redeemed. Glory be to Our Great God & Savior forever and ever!

May God bless you and yours.

You might be interested in this book: American Leaders and Heroes: A preliminary text-book in United States History (1901)

I also note, that you make mention of the Federalist Papers, which is a great starting point when talking about the adoption of the Constitution, but like most, you omit the fact that the FP were actually only one side of the argument. The Letters from a Federal Farmer (also known as the Anti-Federalist), were the other side of the arguments. To really understand the discussion, you have to read both sides. The anti-federalists are victims of the 'omissions' that you mention.

Also, I would argue that without John Locke, and his Second Treatise of Government, you simply would not have an American Revolution, though he predates it.

Thomas Paine

Another good one. Without his Common Sense, getting the revolution moving would have been difficult.

Although he was a military officer, I am going with the infamous Benedict Arnold, probably a hero to the left.

Charles Baron de Montesquieu made a real impression on many of our Founders. A Frenchman, he wrote Spirit of the Laws around 1752. Numerous Founders both Federalist and Anti-Federalist quote his work.

It would be an interesting work to fully describe how he influenced the founding our Country. He is indirectly a founder.

BTW, he professed Christianity and denounced Deism.

That one actually already exists, Montesquieu.

https://librivox.org/the-spirit-of-laws-volume-1-by-montesquieu/

I had thought of including the philosophers who preceded the Founders, but many are there already.

https://librivox.org/two-treatises-of-civil-government-by-john-locke/

https://librivox.org/the-wealth-of-nations-book-1-by-adam-smith/
(All 5 books are there under Adam Smith)

And these

https://librivox.org/the-anti-federalist-papers-by-patrick-henry/

I was not involved in the creation of any of these, at any stage.

So, it is YOU that benefits by proclaiming the Truth of a Genuine Jesus, not the one invented by pretenders who come up shortchanged on confidence that Jesus does ALL the saving, but each of us that become His possession are expected to participate in the ongoing sanctification process; AFTER being saved, not BEFORE salvation by Him.

The judgment on each of the saved ones was done at the Cross.

(Romans 6)

Yes, sir. That would be me.

“AFTER being saved, not BEFORE salvation by Him.”

As a damned sinner, I bowed my knee one night to the King of the Universe and simply said that I was a sinner and I needed Him.

He answered most spectacularly and I live as a new person every day, always getting closer to Him. I want to cling to Him.

It may take us a while to learn that He is not only ALL we need, but that we can’t really live without Him. All else fails at some point or another, and we certainly fail ourselves all the time.

He does the saving. My part was the sinning, to my shame. He saved me, I’m being sanctified by Him, and He will see that I’m glorified with Him ... as hard as that is to imagine, and I have a hard time even typing it out because I know He is holy and I know what I am.

When the lawn chairs go on deep discount at HD, you know space is being set aside for Halloween junk.

Mostly American citizen male adults so far, I guess. This can chamge in our times.

The Special Olympics schedule is a little more complex. I won't be in them again this year.
