Russia has threatened to annex occupied areas in the south of Ukraine. The Ukrainian army has now launched a counter-offensive with the help of Western long-range weapons. Much of the local population has already fled.

Russia made allowances weeks ago for Khearson to run a referendum vote, which has been pushed back until Khearson is better secured by Russia.
Information warfare is thick with lack of proofs, but there are videos of Russian troops being met with relief and thanksgiving by townspeople who have lived too long under UKR government corruption.
The Azov Battalion was not one which was under the UKR ARMY. Their treatment of the Orthodox Russians and the Russian speaking populations of Donbass and Luzansk regions were not inknown throughout UKR.
Nevermind the bio weapons labs and the ever increasing Western military exercises creeping pointedly toward Russia’s western border with UKR.

I need to say this:
There is a problem that has developed on Free Republic of late of: instantaneous attack commenting Freepers. Rather than dialogue and opposition disagreements on issues presented within the posted article.
Sometimes, it almost seems the article hadn’t been read but rather assumed content by responder! It is not a good look. I believe it turns off the younger crowd that don’t want to be verbally victimized by sharing their own thoughts & point of view. Many are turned off & just stop participating or leave.
Maybe, I’m just a Pollyanna, but I like to think none of us would frequent this site if we were not patriotic & just didn’t care. We need to do better. We must do better.
Actually, there’s this as well: behavior has consequences. Economically, the more that leave requires a greater financial burden for Free Republic on those that remain!
So, attack me if you must, but please consider my thoughts.

Speaking for myself, it is not my habit to argue, offend, or insult for the sake of it. There is a group who put forth link after link supporting Ukraine and US involvement in the situation.
I put out an open direct and specific question, several times, and that open simple direct question remains ignored. The *are* two sides to every story, at least.

Maybe, your comment was so respected the commenter is giving a thoughtful consideration for their own position .
It is possible to anticipate a quarrel, especially if they have been attacked previously. Then, as my college prof would say nothing productive occusr: “It just becomes a pis**ng match”

Exactly, the Ukies are on their 8 th mobilization ( and having to hunt them down) now conscripting woman, 18-60 years old was a good indication of their desperation, but woman? Panic.
