I’m sorry, but reason is not allowed on Ukraine v Russia threads.
Name calling only.

The ones on here who support Putin and hate Ukraine like true kooks, are the current day Hitler sympathizers.

Notice they make wild propaganda assertions (e.g “Ukraine lost the war 6 months ago”).

They ignore history, geography, reality and Putin’s own statements.

And the Soros stuff is the type of idiocy adopted by childish minds, just the type dictators love to mould.

Putin is a Communist. Also, the Weat is doing far too little to help Ukraine and there’s back channel dealings with Putin and the Russians (thanks to Hunter Biden and corrupt Dems). The only way Ukraine wins this thing is for direct and forceful NATO aggression, including a Desert Storm style ground campaign and air war against Russia. Our time to stop Russia was in February when they came across, hitting then hard right then.

“Crimea will be back”

LOL, Crimea will never be a part of Ukraine again, and neither will the areas Russia has captured. You Ukie-bots are straight up delusional.

“This is Europe’s problem, not America’s, and needs a European solution.”

Before this is over Jane and Joe six-pack in Europe is going to reach the inescapable conclusion that this is none of the US’s business, and that this could and should have been avoided, and was irrefutably provoked by the US state dept.

The result will be the US kicked out of Europe by popular demand. This will be the end of reserve currency and petro-dollar.

Both of your comments are so true. It makes you wonder, WHY? What could be their motivation?

But, really doesn’t matter: truth shall stand.

Burned out Russian tanks and infantry carriers are on show in the Ukrainian capital. The display of destroyed Russian army vehicles comes just days ahead of the nation's independence day on August 24, which also coincides with the six-month mark since the outbreak of war. pic.twitter.com/7QuwqvZEBa— The Associated Press (@AP) August 20, 2022

Actually, MalPearce handled your Minsk concern well:

“1. The problem with Minsk 1 is the Germans and French pushed Ukraine into signing a really bad deal because they just wanted the problem to go away.

In your analogy, this’d be like Canada offering to broker a peace deal between Mexico and the USA, and Canada telling Washington to take all the guns away from all the Texans because Texans with guns is “poking the Beano Bear”.

You are so invested in this personally you’ve gone insane. You do not know right from wrong. You are living your life in an old black and white John Wayne movie.

I wonder if anyone living in Crimea actually wants to “beat back”. I suspect no one cares about what the people want.

Quite frankly it would have been in Europe’s interest to open Nordstream2, even though that would have been against US interests. Now Europe is heading for an economic catastrophe and will no longer be able to compete globally with increased energy pricing. They too are caught up in the Western financial system with their unpayable debt and see no alternative but to keep the ponzi going, but things are coming to a head soon. Unfortunately I see a world war resulting from this because the US oligarchs seem willing to risk it all to preserve the current financial order. Will Europe continue to follow the US lead and support WW3 or will the EU start breaking up? Personally I see the EU fracturing over this and it’s hard to predict the end result.

Maybe this gives clarity as FR posters are freely adopting and repeating propaganda to make them feel good. :)

MINSK CONTEXT:
Back in 1990, James Baker, US Secretary of State, named “non-possession of nuclear weapons” among the main criteria guiding the US and all the Western World in recognizing new independent states “

According to V. Vasylenko, “Ukraine had to give up nuclear weapons for it to become sovereign state and its independent status to be recognized all over the world.”

“The above mentioned facts showed that provisions of the BUDAPEST MEMORANDUM reflected the real historical moment, when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons to strengthen its independence and preservation of international nuclear non-proliferation regime, but in return received a commitment from signatory states “to hold consultations in case of a situation raising concerns related to these commitments”. As it turned out, RUSSIA LIED! Their commitments did not prevent annexation of the Crimea and Russia’s interference in processes taking place in the Eastern Ukraine.”

Most of the Ukrainian assets in the occupied territories were stolen by occupation forces in late 2014 and 2015. Some mostly owned by Ukrainian tycoon Rinat Akhmetov remained under Ukrainian jurisdiction until 1 March 2017. These were taken by occupation authorities introducing external “temporary administrations” to the companies, ie Luhansk branch Ukrtelecom telephone company.

The Russian pattern of “Transnistrian” policy controls ‘zones’ of frozen conflicts in Moldova (Transnistria region), Georgia (Abkhazia and South Ossetia), and in Ukraine annexed Crimean peninsula and the Donbas.

Russia uses this wider pattern of created separatist conflicts to create corruption and criminality as ‘Trojan horses’ to block progress in reform-minded periphery countries. This is the Russian tactics part of their geopolitical strategy creating conflict zones to prevent countries from entering NATO and integrating into the European Union. CONFLICTS in these by Russia AS being part of Russia imperialistic plan to regain strategic points of its LOST EMPIRE.

Of course, This means Russia is going to fully separate occupied parts of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts from Ukraine and recognize its Donbas puppet republics as states sooner or later just like Georgia’s Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The MINSK-2 was a second attempt to force Ukraine to accept Russia’s Transnistria for the Donbas, a “peace enforcement” to push both occupied regions back into Ukraine as Russian-run enclaves to expand Russia’s control over the internal and external affairs of Ukraine.

However, this agreement demanded constitutional reform in Ukraine for the recognition of a “special status” for occupied eastern territories with local elections “discussed and agreed upon with representatives of particular districts within the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.”

Of course, granting restoration control to the Ukrainian government and pulling out “all foreign armed formations, military equipment, mercenaries” from the territory of Ukraine were impractical for Russia.

If Russia withdraws its troops from any occupied territory, these territories would disappear to become later a Russian “geopolitical project”.
