Quite frankly it would have been in Europe’s interest to open Nordstream2, even though that would have been against US interests. Now Europe is heading for an economic catastrophe and will no longer be able to compete globally with increased energy pricing. They too are caught up in the Western financial system with their unpayable debt and see no alternative but to keep the ponzi going, but things are coming to a head soon. Unfortunately I see a world war resulting from this because the US oligarchs seem willing to risk it all to preserve the current financial order. Will Europe continue to follow the US lead and support WW3 or will the EU start breaking up? Personally I see the EU fracturing over this and it’s hard to predict the end result.

I like to think most sensible people can tell the difference between east and west. Most sensible people can see that Washington/Brussels/London/NATO has been pushing east, because it has. This is irrefutable.

Russia has not been pushing west, until now. This is on their border, there is nowhere for them to retreat and they won’t. They will fight and they will win if they have to. Once Europeans start getting cold, hungry, lose their jobs the logic will overwhelm them that Russia is not the aggressor and Russia is the more reliable partner.

EU politicians who persist in towing the line will be OUT and Nord I and II will be IN.
