The world could meet the iPhone 14 in less than a month.
Apple is preparing to unveil the iPhone 14 at a launch event on Sept. 7, with sales of the rumored phone starting on Sept. 16, according to a report Wednesday from Bloomberg.
That rollout plan would follow Apple's habit of making new products available about a week after they're unveiled. Apple store employees have been told to prepare for "a major new product release" on Sept. 16, Bloomberg reported.
As it has throughout the pandemic, the company will reportedly stream the launch event online rather than hold it in person. Apple didn't respond to a request for comment about the possible launch date of the expected iPhone 14.
Previous iterations of the iPhone have launched in early September, typically on a Tuesday or Wednesday, with sales starting on a Friday about a week later. Apple's iPhone 13 event was held on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, and the phones went on sale on Friday, Sept. 24. Sept. 7, 2022, is a Wednesday, and Sept. 16, 2022, is a Friday.
The iPhone 14 is expected to feature the same 6.1-inch size as the iPhone 13, with a 6.7-inch Pro Max model, as well. But Apple is reportedly doing away with the 5.4-inch Mini, due to sluggish sales of the smaller version.
The new phone is expected to have a notchless display and a 48-megapixel camera on the Pro model, among other changes.
The iPhone 14 is also rumored to come with a $100 price hike. Apple didn't make any price changes between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, but the new model comes as Apple's supply chain has seen cost increases.
New iPads, Macs and Apple Watch models are also expected to launch this fall.
Ping!.......................
Haven’t seen Swordmaker in a while. Hope. All is well.
I’m still on 11 Pro. Good enough, but a 48 mega pix camera? Hmmmm…
Darn things are gonna have to turn into a flying car before I buy another, I think.
Same here, I was thinking about him yesterday.
I care not a whit for fancy phones and I have maybe 20 minutes of usage per month on my cheap Motorola Android. My sister, after years of low end junky phones, loves her iPhone 13 Max. My wife has a decrepit iPhone 6 and I think she is going to spring for the 13 Max based on what my sister says. I’ll tell my wife the 14 model comes with a price increase, so that may make her take the leap.
Man, I’m still rockin’ a 1st gen SE. Best phone I ever had. And still does anything I need. Phone calls, texting, occassional photos to document something. Very occasional internet when I’m not near a computer, Google maps navigation. I never understood the allure of these phablets. A phone is not the center of my existence.
A notch-less iPhone. FINALLY! 48 megapixel camera? Sheesh, that's a lot of megapixels. Also new iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. Wow, the Apple engineers must be very busy.
He hasn’t posted since March!...................

I like that feature.
Just as well I don’t get a new DSLR anytime soon.
I barely used the last one in the past couple of years.
Yup. I checked. Hope he is well. I miss his Apple updates.
Not posting in 4.5 months doesn’t look good.................
No it does not.
Same here. I’m still on 10 and it does everything I need a smart phone to do.
Oh my gosh, I can’t wait and run out and get one because...oh wait...my android phone works well for me and I have no idea why I want the latest iPhone. How silly I am for not wanting the latest apple thingy.
My phone....................
About half of one of the factories I support has a fair amount of analog desk phones.
They give no trouble apart from swapping out the handset and cord.
VoIP phones have been a source of aggravation that sometimes even stumps the higher end support crowd who are very good.
I can’t complain about the legacy Avaya digital sets either.

Doesn’t everyone need a $2000.00 phone? Will this be Brandon’s next give away along with a free book on Marxism.
My 13 Pro works just fine for me.
