Ah, so it won’t be the 3 going to the general? That’s good.

What a stupid system.

The special election is RCV. People voted for multiple candidates. From that data we can’t tell at all who has an advantage. If all of the Palin and Begich voters voted for the other candidate as the second choice, a Republican should win.

4 of them will be going to the general, not 3.

THanks, I see: the NYTimes has just confirmed the top 3 so far on its front page.

The remaining votes come more from Native areas likely to boost Peltola and Murkowski.

Hard to see how Tshibaka can beat Murkowski.

Palin appears favored to win the special but it could be very close.

Anyone else think that these results numbers seem machine like?

42.4%- 41.9% and they stay the same or nearly the same as each batch is reported?

I.e. result reported with 50% of vote in, was Murk 42.4% and her opponent 41.9% .

Next result was nearly identical with 55% of vote in- 42.4% - 41.9%, and they've only changed slightly with 60% of the vote in.

Sarah Palin race seems to stay: opponent 34.?% to her 32.?% with little change from 50% of vote in to 60% of vote in.

IMO these are machine numbers and may indicate some kind of 🐂💨💩 going on?

Remember Mike Lindell's movie where he had a man on who discovered the algorithm they used to steal 2020?

He was able to use it for all the states. It worked.

IOW NONE OF THE NUMBERS WERE RIGHT. THEY CHEATED IN NEARLY ALL THE STATES AND STOLE ALMOST EVERYONE'S VOTE.

Nothing has changed. No reason to think they wouldn't do it again.

Anyway it should be looked into.

I share your feelings about the fraud. What sort of waves are we going to make?

If Murky used RNC money for her reelection and starts voting with the dems, charge her with fraud for mis representing her intentions as fraud and make her pay back the RNC money she used.

There’s the special and there’s the primary.

The first round of the special was conducted a while ago. Four advanced, but one dropped out leaving three. Yesterday’s vote was the second round of the special. The D finished first, and Rs finished second (Palin) and third (Begich). But, the D didn’t get a majority of the vote. So, the #3 candidate will be eliminated, and the second preferences of that candidate’s voters will be examined (You don’t HAVE to name an alternate choice, and many voters don’t). Probably, the second preferences of the #3 candidate will catapult the #2 candidate to first place, because both the #3 and the #2 candidates are Republicans. This is the classic case where the Republican vote is split among multiple candidates, which would allow the Democrat to steal the election if the election is only based on who finishes first.

The Irish and the Australians have a lot of experience with this kind of system, sometimes called “preference voting,” sometimes “instant run-off.” The main problem in Ireland and Australia is the multiplicity of candidates. Sometimes dozens. Making for tedious voting and counting. The Alaska twist is to have first round to identity the top four, and then a run-off among the top 4, to kind of simplify instant run-off voting.

I’ll close by saying no system of voting is perfect. And, it takes some time for people to get used to any change in the system of voting.

There's an idea. And maybe do a general investigation for any Dem criminality she's caught up in. Imagine she's in it up to her eyeballs.

Thanks. I still don’t like it. Understand that Lisa M. pushed it for her vile purposes.

There’s a very good reason both Alaska and Maine have RCV.

Note to citizens of both states: Want to save your states, see my tagline.

I’m sickened that Murkowski got more votes that Tschibaka. Granted this is just the first round of a race that has two rounds. Hopefully voters for other candidates will rally to the cause of defeating Murkowski. She certainly doesn’t represent Alaska’s interests.

So we will retain a Republican (?!) Senator elected by Democrats. Ugh….

Murkowski plus the Democrats are at 52% now. That’s likely to go a bit higher with the precincts outstanding.

And NYC now has RCV for its mayoral races.

Those RCV provisions were in HR1 for a reason, weren’t they...
