This past weekend seems to have a huge increase in the number of individuals running cars into crowds. Whether car or AR-15, the inanimate object only causes a problem in the hands of a nut case.
No. The revolvers of that era were single action. It was necessary to manually cock the hammer before pulling the trigger. A double action handgun cocks and releases the hammer using only the trigger to perform both actions.
Imagine all current and future crimes that driver just stopped from occurring.
Also in the “wild west” you stole a guys horse from him and were caught/convicted, you were executed. Car jackers, ....
