Metallica frontman James Hetfield, 59, 'files for divorce' from wife of 25 years who he credits with helping him to control addiction and anger

Metallica's frontman James Hetfield has reportedly filed for divorce with his wife of more than two decades.

James, 59, filed documents in Colorado to divorce long-term partner Francesca Hetfield, according to TMZ.

The two are said to still be in touch as they co-parent their daughters Cali, 20, and Marcella, 16, and son Castor, 18.

Kirk seemed normal. Just enjoying his life and listening to the others whine and fight with each other. I think growing more and more annoyed with their therapist Phil Towle helped them band together to fight him (and his $40K per month fee) off.

At the time it was filmed at least, every one of those jackasses in that band needed a proper ass kicking x 3.....Hetfield included.

I like Metallica as a band, but it still makes me laugh that they kicked out Dave Mustaine because he was too hardcore (too metal) for them.

Yeah, but that's kind of my point. You're young and in a heavy metal band. Seems like drugs and alcohol kind of come with the territory. But the members of Metallica said "Whoa Dave - what's with the booze at tea time?"
