No, that headline’s not a joke. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, once so popular it had its own TV show solely dedicated to its heroics, has become a hyper-politicized, jackbooted bully that no longer serves the American people or the U.S. Constitution, which its employees are sworn to protect. It has become, instead, the intelligence arm and domestic enforcer of the far left.
Did we say defund? Yes. But we don’t mean simply to cut its funding, as leftists have disastrously proposed for police forces across the country. We mean tear down the entire rotting edifice of the FBI and replacing it with a new agency that respects the Constitution and holds itself accountable to all Americans, not just the woke far left.
The raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound may be the breaking point, but it’s only the latest FBI outrage. In recent years, under Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, the Bureau has acted overtly to aid one political party over the other, demonizing those who oppose the Democrats’ “woke,” “progressive” agenda for America.
To be sure, this has been going on for some time now, starting with the FBI’s feeble investigation of Hillary Clinton’s home-based server, which intelligence sources say was almost certainly hacked by the Russians, the Chinese, or both. It was a clear violation of the law, exposing America’s secrets to our worst enemies.

The whole, “Defund the Police” movement is being done with the aim of creating such high crime that people will cry out for federalizing police powers across the nation.

In fact, that may be the reason the administration is doubling the number of agents at the IRS...to prepare for an attack on the FBI by the "Outsiders" (i.e., us).
The problem is that Republicans never hold the line. In the past when they have shut down things in a budget battle, the lamestream media puts out a million hit stories about the “poor people” who are laid off. What they don’t tell you is that as soon as the Republicans cave and everyone goes back to work, these civil servants, who make more money than the rest of us to begin with, collect back pay for the time they didn’t work. A paid holiday, no less.

Yes. Defunding the FBI should happen, but to do so will take firm resolve of conservatives. The GOP couldn’t even complete the defunding of PBS, let alone the far more harmful Planned Parenthood.
Too many wobbly conservatives worried about what Mika and Joi and Nicole Wallace will say about them. Just maybe, after the historic Mar Lago Raid, their resolve to do what is right will be solid.
About those 87K new IRS agents, is that a done deal? Has funding for this super sized Goon Squad already been approved?
It is not necessary to defund the FBI. What is necessary is to permanently remove the top three or four layers of political administrators.
Kill them? No, just detain them forever at McMurdo Sound or the CIA prison in Lower Slabovia
I agree, but most of the republicans are gutless.
One step further! The new agency AND the DOJ should not be under the wing of the Executive branch of the government. The AG should be an elected position subject to impeachment by the judicial and executive. If that position is appointed it will surely be political as we have seen over the years!
