The real developing problem with the "homeless" in U.S. cities - vouchers for people who are working
Person working in Austin who informed me | 8 August 2022 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

This morning, as I hastily move around getting ready to drive an hour towards Austin to go to work, I decided I could stay silent no more. The homeless problem is NOT what the government and media want you to BELIEVE it is. It is a far worse problem created by government and supported by media disinformation or outright refusal to do investigative reporting to uncover what is going on.

I know for a FACT that at least one young man working for a financial services company in Austin is living off of vouchers provided by Austin for the homeless in various units of housing (apartments, hotel rooms, shelters, etc.) as he avoids paying any rent and finds a way to shower and present himself at work every day making good money. Since he is single, he is able to much more efficiently do this. He has to be one of hundreds doing this. This would explain part of the exploding numbers of homeless not only in Austin, but in other major cities across the United States. They can barely afford to pay for housing and so are going on the government dole to pay for a place to live.

The government officials have to know this is going on AND the media does too and neither one will report on it or reign it in. People who do this will become permanent Democrat voters. To say this is wrong does not even begin to probe the depths of the evil coming upon us because of this. The situation with hotel rooms in Los Angeles being considered for the "homeless" can probably also be attributed to this phenomenon. Young people coming up will begin to figure out they can do this and it will become the modus operandi for them to get started in life. Another thing, no telling how many illegal aliens are living this way off of government assistance, also a source of millions of permanent Democrat votes.

To try to explain the effect this has on those of us who struggle to pay our mortgages/rent and expenses of living and the motivation to go to work and pay taxes for the way these people are living is just beyond my time available right now. If you can't figure it out, then you're beyond help intellectually. We are heading at an EXTREMELY FAST PACE towards full-blown socialism and ruin. Very quickly, there will be no way to turn the vote to get this to stop as those living off of the government will overwhelmingly vote down any attempts to get it to stop. Utility vouchers are also being given for thousands of people in Austin in addition to the vouchers for living space. The people working in Austin are paying for all of this and most certainly the same thing is going on in all of the major U.S. cities. We are being enslaved by the Democrats to serve THEIR constituents.

Preach it!

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and yet lose his soul?

They may be scamming the system now and getting away with it, but a reckoning is coming and eternity is a long time.

One of the real problems with homelessness is that people with jobs are forced to support homelessness instead of treating their mental illnesses. “vouchers provided by Austin for the homeless”

Before this is over, even the progs will be praying for the regime to collapse.

Homelessness has become a hideous disgrace in almost all major cities. I travel quite extensively, and downtown areas are terrible cesspools, both in human waste and human debris.

On a recent trip to San Diego, I counted an average of 10-15 homeless people on every city block. Tent cities are everywhere downtown. A walk a few weeks ago from 30th Street Station to Independence Mall straight through center city (24 blocks) showed Philadelphia to be virtually a war zone. New York City is becoming irretrievable. Cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, and L.A. have been gone for quite some time.

I don’t know how we recover from this disaster. There are some cities who have taken steps. A recent walk around Jersey City’s waterfront area had no homeless. Very surprising to me right across the River from Manhattan.

Liberal policies are tantamount to genocide for these people. There should be some called to account for this disgrace…

I have come to the conclusion that this type of thing is exactly what the Left desires.

They want a permanent, angry, dispossessed underclass.

Marxism and Communism were never going to work in the USA since there was too large a middle class living comfortably.

So they shifted from the economic Marxism to a “Social Marxism” (BLM is just one example, and the Democrat party as a whole is all in on this) to create an emotional underclass of people with grievances.

It is already happening; it is now a modus operandi. Search YouTube for stealth camping in the city. Living Rent Free in NYC. I wonder how many of those stealth city campers are drawing homeless benefits.

Build a stealth camper van that looks like a construction business truck, get a cheap membership at a gym for showers and live rent free on the streets of any city.

Prog leadership has played on their voting sheeples' emotions and stupidity for decades. As a result, a permanent nonproductive left voting underclass breeds and multiplies at the expense of the productive.

Prog leadership is socialistic not because of love and concern for humanity, but because it is the fastest route to power. The uniparty is spending America to death.

The vast majority are drug related homeless.

Unfortunately, I think it’s too late already.

I thought 9/11 would wake people up. It did for about 3 years.

I thought 2008 would wake people up; they voted stupid and got even worse over the following years.

(Not that Maverick was a good alternative)

They remain stuck on stupid. Oops I mean stuck on CNN and MSNBC.

Ever since Katrina and FEMA helping these evacuees, I have noticed that WE taxpayers are providing hotel rooms for those in damaged areas. Okay, Red Cross did the same thing I think. Well, we happened to stay in a hotel during Katrina aftermath with many families taking advantage of the free hotel lodging. Let me say, every amenity at that hotel was in horrible shape—swimming pool full of kids all day yelling, exercise room a mess, and breakfast buffet disgusting manners and lots of loaded plates.
San Jose, even worse I will not describe.
SO, hotels make a lot of money with FEMA and other govt. programs helping their bottom line by housing FEMA voucherees, homeless voucherees, and illegals on the move. Maids cannot even speak English so their cleaning ways are from whatever country they came from and I don’t trust it so I bring Lysol and wipes along to do what they many times look over-—even while I am in the room!

When you go through a major city and see no homeless, chances are the city has displaced them somewhere and they will eventually filter back in.

In Austin, the “camping ban” was reinstated and a lot of encampments previously growing under overpasses were eventually removed. But people still try to re-establish them. They get turned out again...and later return.

Austin had bought up old motels with the idea of putting homeless there. That’s disastrous on the face of it for many simple reasons you can easily come up with. The city is the winner because they now have land they can sell to developers.
