Russian prosecutors have asked a court to sentence the US basketball star Brittney Griner to almost 10 years in prison on drugs charges.
The Olympic gold medallist was detained in February at an airport near Moscow when cannabis oil vape cartridges were allegedly found in her luggage.
Cannabis is illegal in Russia for both medicinal and recreational use.

Back in the day, anytime we went outside the US (business travel) we were given a briefing & reading material on the do’s and don’ts of other countries/cultures.

We still get the do’s and don’ts when traveling to other countries, but NOT bringing illegal drugs is a bloody no-brainer.
Given that he thinks he’s a she, its brain is already compromised.

I am not suggesting that we should let ANYONE not be subject to the laws. But, if you are going to pick and choose who “deserves” to be treated “fairly” in their minds...you would think they might be concerned with ALL “injustice.”

Yup. I still remember as a kid going overseas for my dad’s assignment/deployment that we were told the same. Circa ‘61.
The funny thing about this is that if the is mutant wasn’t a bargaining chip for the Russians, they would have paid good money to get rid of her and send her back to the U.S.
Would that long a sentence end her useful playing career by the time she got back out?
