I’m going to say what I suspect many are thinking here on FR. Herschel Walker, really? I met him 8 or 10 years ago at event and shot the bull with him for 10 or 15 mins. He could hardly speak, he had dead eyes and I walked away feeling like I had spoken with a mentally deficient/disabled person. On top of what his probably his naturally low IQ, he’s got to have some degree of CTE.
Warnock has to be defeated at all costs, but the fact these two are the choices for the people of Georgia has got have the Founders spinning in their graves. Such a critical race and the best we can must is the brain dead Walker? Pathetic.

You’ve just described half or more of the already sitting US Senators. Grassley is 88 years old and running again despite his glaring cognitive issues. Walker will be just fine.
I have said from day one that Walker is a terrible candidate. He has no business in the US senate. I did not vote for him in the primary and I’m not voting for him in the general. Or Kemp or Raffensperger.
He has a moral compass that God will uphold
But Trump endorsed him…he must be the smartest, best-est candidate ever.
I met him, and I disagree. I am not stupid, and can carry on conversations with very intelligent Theological Scholars and professors in university.
Hershel walker is not an idiot, maybe he had something on his mind or a place to go that made him disinterested in talking to you,

Well the best thing I can say about Walker is that the Cowboys traded him so they could get Emmitt Smith.
He’s fine - he’s got a mild speech impediment that he’s overcome quite well. I happen to like the way he speaks. And there’s nothing wrong with his brain.
I’ve never met him. The emails from his campaign appear to be ghost written for him.
The stupidest person by far in the Senate is Bob Casey Jr. (D, PA). He is there only because the name “Casey” is magic with older PA voters.
So if Walker does get in, he won’t be the stupidest person there. Casey will still have him beat. I hope that makes everyone feel better.

Lynn Swann once ran for Governor as PA as a Republican. He netted only 40% of the vote against incumbent Ed Rendell. A smoke job. I don’t claim to know anything about the Georgia race, but I keep coming back to that huge loss in my mind. Hershel seems a lot less articulate. Suburban voters like articulate.

He’s a terrible candidate, but may have been the only non-RINO option that has a chance to win on name recognition.
I heard him on Hannity a while back. He seemed fairly coherent.
More importantly, we need to get back control of the senate, so I’d vote for a box of rocks with an R after it, over voting for a rat or not voting at all.
You can’t be a purist in the game of politics or you’ll lose every time.
