It’s difficult to get the required amount of zinc if meat, especially red meat consumption is cut back significantly.

Burgers usually have wheat buns.
Processed wheat is a multi-dimensional killer.

Non-organic is a loaded gun. RoundUp resdidue can destroy a healthy gut microbiome.
I am in the process of getting ready for a Whole30 diet. Very difficult to find items. Most of the primal Kitchen stuff fits but not all. I got the avocado mayo.
Taste takes some getting used to for me. I decided to do this diet I needed to ease into starting with cutting out sugar first.

Orange man bad!
Fat bad!
Coal, gas and oil bad!
Christian morals bad!
Etc.

The west is killing themselves with forks and spoons. Every generation will be in bad shape starting with the boomers and getting worse down the line.
Well the obvious answer is to ban forks and spoons.
Thanks!
I’m pretty much carnivore - 98% I would say. Meat (majority red ruminant), eggs, some dairy.
The problem is high fructose corn syrup is in everything imaginable. It’s in ketchup, bottled ice tea, French fries, etc. ever since sugar price supports were put in place.
Boomer here. Remember being taught the food pyramid BS in elementary school. Lots of carbs at the base!
If Guns Kill People,
cars drive drunk,
pencils misspell words,
& forks make people fat.
By hi fat, I mean unrestricted animal fats from bacon, etc. I don’t eat much vegetable oil at all. I use a lot of butter.
I just bought a cow. I think in rural America, there will be a black Angus market. Ha ha.
My typical day starts with two eggs cooked with bacon grease for butter. I also drink coffee. That sorts my digestive issues out. For lunch, sometimes I will have bacon or even a grilled cheese sandwich as a treat. For dinner, usually a seasoned meat, steamed vegetables, and whatever other savory stuff my wife makes. I eat probably a pound of cashews as a snack every week. I don’t know what that all adds up to calorie wise because I don’t pay that much attention to what I eat anymore as long as it is within the fence so to speak.
As far as cheating, I don’t consider it cheating anymore. My wife and I will split a Hershey’s bar on occasion and we love it. I honestly don’t pay that much attention to what I eat anymore. Carbs make me feel bloated and so they aren’t much of a temptation. Everything in moderation though. Last night I had chicken teriyaki and rice from a local restaurant. I eat to live now instead of living to eat.
“I just bought a cow.”
LOL, I wish I could do that.
I don’t know anyone with Type 2 diabetes who was not first over weight, before they were diabetic.
And it is not the foods rich in fructose and/or fat that are to blame, it is only their overconsumption by some individuals. Just as guns kill no one; it is the murderous handlers of guns that kill people with them.
Too much of just about anything is not healthy.
The Food Pyramid, and all of its low-fat/high-carb derivatives, are a Crime Against Humanity.
Cockroaches will be at the top of the new Food Pyramid.

The west?
I think supplements hurt people more than food. Companies in the United States mix food with a vitamin a supplement. More than half the vitamin a people in the U.S. consume is from vitamin a supplements.
If you maintain a low carb diet (40 to 50 g per day), you will not overeat fruit since you are watching your total carb grams each day. Fresh fruit is full of fiber, nutrients and water (helps to keep you hydrated) and berries are considered superfoods.
