When the jackpot gets this high, I guarantee the winner is rigged just like our elections.

The lottery lawyer who helped people stay anonymous was indicted for stealing from clients.

Greed makes people do crazy things

If I win that jackpot I will go to extreme lengths to make sure no one knows..unlike the stupidity of one couple who went on the Today show before even claiming the prize

9 people almost won. Someone should hit this time. Probably at least two.

Hunter Biden’s chances are pretty good, I think.

$1.1 billion would solve all of my problems.

But then I'd have a whole bunch of new problems!

My wife and I play once in a while, really just for the pleasure of dreaming what we'd do with such a windfall. Of course, I tend to see the downsides of trying to deal with that much unearned wealth. Things like, how to manage it first and foremost. Do I cut a nice check to all my coworkers? Friends I grew up with? Extended family members? Of course, many of them would blow right through it and then expect more.

What about all the scammers filing frivolous lawsuits against me? I'd have to hire an army of attorneys to deal with this. And then there's the real risk that my children would be kidnapped and held for ransom. Now I'd need security as well.

And $1.1 billion is multi-generational wealth. My kids would never have to work. Their kids would never have to work. Eventually, there'd be whole generations of Drew68s that lived in financial comfort without ever earning a dollar in their lives. And then long after I'm gone, the money runs out and I will have done my progeny a disservice by never preparing them with the skills needed to earn a living.

Lots of stress.

Sometimes I think it would be easier to win a much smaller amount, say $4-6 million. Enough to pay off the house and pad my retirement but not so much that there'd be any obligation to share it or to go completely crazy with it.

$1.1 billion? That would probably ruin me. Nonetheless, I bought three quick-picks.

Some states require you to publicly disclose your name and even appear at a press conference.

I think Washington state still does that.

Some winners have stopped the publicity by making a Trust the legal owner of the Lottery Ticket. The jackpot must be paid into the Trust, which can be named anything.

That might not work everywhere since state laws prevail.

The annuity is a bit of a scam because the largest payments are at the end. Unless youโ€™re young enough to feel confident in another thirty years of Democrats destroying whatโ€™s good and descent about America, might as well take the cash option. They are buying bonds anyway which obviously you can do as well.

Itโ€™s pretty sad the take home on cash option ends up less than half the supposed jackpot.

I wouldn’t be greedy... Just .5... 1... 1.5% interest from your neighborhood bank would pay handsomely... You couldn’t spend the interest made on 600M annually at just 1%!!

I once won a jackpot at a casino. My first instinct was not joy but what’s the tax bite on that. I was still frowning when they handed me the check running through different ways it was going to give me a problem. I declined the promotional photo with the check but I am sure I would not have been smiling. Still laugh about it.

OK...
Step 1...Claim the prize anonymously if possible.
Step 2...Don't tell a soul that you've won,except a trusted lawyer.
Step 3...Don't buy anything big
Step 4...Keep as low a profile as possible.Make it a point to become invisible.
