If there are still Americans who need a reason to suspect that Democratic politics have corrupted some of the highest levels of the Federal Bureau of Instigation and Justice Department, Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley just gave it.
In a news release issued late Monday, the senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee went public with word of FBI whistleblowers who had come to his office with damning allegations about the operation of FBI offices in Washington.
And, naturally, its kid-glove handling of first son Hunter Biden is getting a big role.
In the news release, Grassley linked to a letter he wrote to Biden administration Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, dated July 18, which made it clear just what is at stake when the nation’s premier law enforcement agency is viewed as a political machine favoring one party:
“If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are — and have been — institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law.”
In particular, Grassley wrote that whistleblowers who had contacted his office alleged two senior FBI officials had manipulated information to spur an investigation into the campaign of former President Donald Trump, while — as surely as night follows day — downplaying information that could have been incriminating to Hunter Biden.

The black Sheriff who wears the cowboy hat all the time, his name escapes me right now!! He is NO NONSENSE and would have CLEANED OUT the FBI!!
Defund Federal Police
David Clarke, I think.
Next, it progresses into "the ideology is so important that a few crimes to merely to enrich its supporters can be ignored."
But then it ends up where it is now and that is "the ideology is important, but its supporters have so completely taken advantage of its inclination to look the other way that they are now corrupt to the core...in fact, they are so incredibly corrupt that bringing them to justice is absolutely impossible."
While we wait for AG Garland and FBI top Wray to get right on this and string up a few senior officials, one hopes Grassley provided DJT with full details.
The ‘chink in his armor’ that I've heard of (Note may not be true!) is his thesis for his graduate degree might have plagiarism problems. True or not Rats will try and exploit it in the confirmation process. So, a possible PR gamble, he'll need a masterstroke response like Thmas had to the the Senator Biden.

The quickest and most immediately effective reform to the FBI would be to require all agent\subject interviews to be recorded and recordings to immediately be given to the interviewee. Also, all notes handwritten or otherwise notes ‘discoverable’ by interviewee counsel. If this was done many of the abuses would go away.
Barak Obama’s entire 8 year admin was determined to corrupt every govt agency and institution.
Regardless of who vouched for Wray, if DJT would have fired Wray and Barr long before the 2020 election, we would not have a resident Biden today....... Was he afraid to do that or just following bad advice? For all of DJT’s good qualities he comes up short, IMHO, in picking dedicated employees.....
How could Trump have known Wray was going to turn out to be a partisan rat? The FBI is supposed to be non-partisan.
FBI is horse shit and has been for quite some time.
Zero confidence.
Not in the leadership. And the new hires will all be woke reformers.
Since the day J Edgar Hoover ran it.
The FBI is rotten to the core, from top to bottom.
“The FBI is rotten to the core, from top to bottom.”
Wait a minute, Sean Hannity says there are mostly good people at the FBI. He has friends there. He should know! /s
GOP cries the loudest when they have zero power to change anything. Remember when we were absolutely going to destroy ObamaCare?
