Incoming University of Michigan medical school students staged a walk-out during the pro-life keynote speaker's speech during their White Coat Ceremony.
Hundreds of students had previously petitioned to get Dr Kristin Collier, assistant professor of medicine at UMMS, removed from the initiation because of her anti-abortion stance.
But after their first protest failed, dozens of students got up from their seats and left the auditorium as Christian Dr Collier took to the stage to address them.
Footage shows some of those present clapping as Dr Collier starts her speech, but others stood and filed out as she continued to speak.
Starting her speech, Collier said that she was 'honored' to have been chosen as the speaker, ignoring the mass walkout.
She said: 'I want to acknowledge the deep wounds our community has suffered over the past several weeks. We have a great deal of work to do for healing to occur.
'And I hope that for today, for this time, we can focus on what matters most: coming together to support our newly accepted students and their families with the goal of welcoming them into one of the greatest vocations that exist on this earth.'
She has previously spoken on a 'Pro-Life' Feminism panel discussion hosted Notre Dame Office of Life & Human Dignity, an office within the McGrath Institute for Church Life in 2019.

I saw a doc a few weeks ago for an ongoing condition. I was vaxed with J & J in early April 2021, because my sister has a COPD and was terrified.
Doc said that she was required to ask if I wanted a booster, but did not bat an eye when I said no, and just went on with the exam.
Maybe—Lord willing—as they see and treat patients, they will develop a respect for life!!!!

Sadly, I know from experience how right you both are. My (late) family member’s oncologist, a graduate of two of the most prestigious universities in the world, recently tweeted his outrage over the Dobbs decision. I wasn’t shocked. Granted, the man’s medical practice (lung cancer) has zero to do with abortion, but his tweet was indicative of how little the man respects or values human life. And I witnessed that attitude first hand. Pardon my language, but the man sucked as a doctor. He very formulaically followed a treatment protocol with little real effort to understand the idiosyncrasies of our particular case. The overall impression he gave was of someone who didn’t give a crap — someone only in it for the prestige and money that supports his upscale (and probably gay) lifestyle.
I agree, this was a much-anticipated ceremony for PROFESSIONALS that they disturbed, not a pussy hat rally. Imagine being a conservative young adult, waiting all your life to get into med school and it starts with THIS.
The rabid left Commies have caused so much upheaval and terrorism that no one in the med school administration will have the guts to discipline these immature twits.

I am 66, and as I move into the age where more and more medical care will be required, I am becoming concerned about finding doctors who will put my best interests first. There was an incident a while ago at Wake Forest University where an intern drawing blood intentionally poked some guy multiple times as punishment for not playing the pronoun game. The last I heard she was not being expelled. IMHO people like this should not be touching anyone in any capacity, not even cutting hair or doing nails. Sad to say, but a good strategy may be to seek out doctors not trained in the US.
