The programming didn’t foresee this kind of action on the part of the boy. The programs followed their instructions. The program had no awareness or knowledge of “boy” “finger” “grab” “crack bone.”
Although the programmers may think they have covered every possibility, they usually haven’t, and the program acts in an unexpected way when faced with the real world.
