ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police are investigating a double home invasion turned homicide.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning in a neighborhood near Carlisle and Comanche.
Police say a man broke into the first home and was confronted by the homeowners. He reportedly tried to steal their car, but eventually ran off and broke into a second home.
Officers say someone in that home shot and killed the suspect.
“We do have obviously an increase in violent crime during the warmer months, people are just out, they’re frequenting areas where those crimes occur in much more frequency,” said APD Lt. Ray Del Greco.
APD says no one else was injured during the incident.
Officials say it will be up to the District Attorney’s office to determine if any charges are filed against the person who shot and killed the suspect

Harris’ head speechwriter quit. People are laughing that she had a speechwriter because her word salads are SO bad and often run in endless circles, just like that sentence in this article. The sentence “Criminals frequent areas where crime occurs with more frequency” sounds just like something Harris’ speechwriter crafted.
I think that might be some woke retconned definition.
Homicide is simply defined as the killing of someone by another, legally speaking. It is not necessarily unlawful, that’s why it will be investigated, and the DA will decide if he thinks a charge should be filed.
It is from the Oxford dictionary. I think that definition is correct.
Any time I see “Harris” and “head” in the same sentence I have to laugh.
Cops are amazed at how this one weird trick stops crime every time.
They are probably using the word descriptively in it’s Latin origin, “homo” = man and “cide” = killing.
Deliberate: ✔
Unlawful: ❌
OH, I’m so sorry! But we have some fine consolation prizes. Such as the “F*** Around And Find Out” home edition!™️ Fun for the whole family!

😅 Guy I used to play an online game with was fond of that particular phrase.
Give the man a Darwin award.
Exodus 22:2-4 If a thief is found while breaking into a house, and is struck down and dies, it is not a capital crime in that case, but if the sun has risen on him, then it is a capital crime in that case. A thief is certainly to make restitution, but if he has nothing, he is to be sold for his theft.
I am going with praiseworthy on this one. 👍😂😃😀
No need to Call Saul!
My Oxford dictionary certainly disagrees. Where did you get it? (One reason why putting documents and books online is so dangerous. Everything can be edited. Orwell would be pleased. Or not. It is true the definition of words change, and then there is the legal world...
Keep in mind under common law, Homicide was further broken down into different types - felonious, justifiable, or unintentional, etc. This is is why you’ll see reports saying things like “Authorities are investigating the death as a Homicide - it doesn’t necessarily mean murder.
No sympathy for a criminal committing a home invasion.
😆
Yeah there might be a life lesson in there...
Right.
👍 I agree.
