ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police are investigating a double home invasion turned homicide.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning in a neighborhood near Carlisle and Comanche.

Police say a man broke into the first home and was confronted by the homeowners. He reportedly tried to steal their car, but eventually ran off and broke into a second home.

Officers say someone in that home shot and killed the suspect.

“We do have obviously an increase in violent crime during the warmer months, people are just out, they’re frequenting areas where those crimes occur in much more frequency,” said APD Lt. Ray Del Greco.

APD says no one else was injured during the incident.

Officials say it will be up to the District Attorney’s office to determine if any charges are filed against the person who shot and killed the suspect

***

Jail is a waste of time for this POS. Extermination was truly needed.

“An armed gun owner is the best deterrent to home crime”.

And most criminals know it.

A safe house/neighborhood is an armed house/neighborhood.

FTA: “ a double home invasion turned homicide.”

How is gunning down a criminal committing a home invasion homicide?

You are exactly right:

Homicide:
The deliberate and unlawful killing of one person by another; murder.

..."up to the District Attorney’s office to determine if any charges are filed against the person who shot and killed the suspect"

So, since there is some question as to whether the homeowner will be charged, may I assume that the Bernalillo District Attorney is another Soros owned leftist D.A.??

I believe the definition of "homicide" is 'death at the hands of another'.

It doesn't necessarily mean "murder" or "felony".

Think of it as a coroner's term regarding "manner of death".

Bustin’ a cap on a thief in your home conducting a robbery is now a “homicide”?

uh...NOPE!

"Homicide is when one human being causes the death of another. Not all homicide is murder, as some killings are manslaughter, and some are lawful, such as when justified by an affirmative defense, like insanity or self-defense."

homicide
hŏm′ĭ-sīd″, hō′mĭ-
noun
The killing of one person by another, regardless of intention or legality.
A person who kills another person.
A person who kills another; a manslayer.

All murders are homicides, but not all homicides are murders.

A justifiable homicide (such as in self defense) is not murder, but it is homicide.

Some once wrote that there are three kinds of homicide: Felonious, Justifiable, and Praiseworthy.
