Prayers up.
Thank you.
I finally got the link to work.
Prayers. Good player, who I thought had a great career ahead of him because he does this interesting thing; he catches the damned ball! All the tougher to hear if he’s a good person.
Thank you!
Prayers for John Metchie III. May the good Lord heal this man from this affliction. Amen
My center of choice was the #1 on the list and I can tell you it saved my life.
Finally, many treatments are pills and they do not interfere with your physical performance. So, if treated properly the outlook is good for this young guy.
Prayer sure helps, too.
Roll Tide and prayers for John.
Amen!
Lord Jesus You are our Healer - our Eternal Hope - please be with this young man as he battles this disease.
Bless him, protect him, give him Your Grace, Your Peace, Your Love, Your Victory over this evil disease.
In Your Name above all names I pray - Amen!
I have metastatic prostate cancer. My condition is stable; and I am very blessed to live 35 minutes from MD Anderson because there may come a time when I will need the best of the best.
Can only assume he is being treated at MD Anderson. He’s fortunate to have been drafted by the Texans.
I thought the same thing when I heard the news. Being drafted by the Texans turned out to be a blessing.
Prayers for you for complete healing.
Do you live in TX?
Glad you were able to get to MDA....and, have your saved!! PTL.
I do not live in TX. I'm about a one-hour plane ride from MDA. Been going there twice a year for eight years.
I was first diagnosed locally by a local onc. My doctor was a smart guy but did not have much experience with my form of cancer (mantle cell lymphoma). I knew if I wanted a better chance of living, I better go to the best I could find. On my own, I went there for a second opinion.
Over the years, I have talked with many patients while I'm there. I quickly learned that my story is very common. Half the people I talk with were either misdiagnosed and/or treated incorrectly locally before they ended up at MDA. The sad part is how many others have the same local experience and do not make the effort to get a second opinion from a top center. It is likely not to end well for them.
Cancer is all they do at MDA. My view is it is like the common cold for them. They have incredible diagnostics and doctors, along with a world-class research department. All of this is under one roof. In fact, one of their researchers recently won a Nobel prize for a new cancer drug.
Most cancer can be treated successfully if caught early and diagnosed and treated correctly. Not all -- but most.
Prayers up for John. Lord, he is too young and too needed among men to take him now. To your Glory, Lord, please heal John Metchie III.

Indeed.
We are blessed to live within easy driving distance, of MDA. We have many friends who have been fortunate to have been treated/are being treated, there.
Love your spirit and your story. Continued good health, to you!
Prayers for his health and healing !
