(CNN) - Paying for some Bruce Springsteen tickets these days may be “Tougher Than The Rest.”
That’s because Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” has some seats reaching $4000 to $5000 a seat.
The high prices are not going over well.
“I’m sure you won’t see this @springsteen but you or your management need to have a word with the abhorrent criminals running @Ticketmaster who are charging exorbitant amounts to see you in concert,” one person tweeted. “Please listen to your fans, nobody can afford these ridiculous ticket prices.”
Writer John Semley tweeted that Springsteen should “write a song about a working man refinancing his car and home to purchase bruce springsteen tickets.”
“i got a sixty-nine chevy /with a three-ninety-six fuelie heads /and a hurst on the floor/i had to sell it to go see the Boss at the Wells-Fargo Center,” he suggested as lyrics.
Stevie Van Zandt, “The Sopranos” star and a member of Springsteen’s E Street Band, responded to the uproar by tweeting in part “I have nothing whatsoever to do with the price of tickets.”
**SNIP**
Prices started around $60 for some of the seats furthest from the stage.

The answer is real simple; don’t go to the concerts. It wouldn’t take long before the prices dropped. Springsteen or Streisand is not that great anyway. They may not set the prices, but a non-attended concert or two should lower prices a bit.

Lol, very in-character for Silvio!
There are a number of clips on You Tube of a London concert from the 1970s in which he and the band sound great, with the added bonus that he is not preaching (or if he is, you can fast forward). A free concert from his heyday beats paying $5,000.00.
My God, it’s virtually identical. I never heard that Tull song before. Just more proof the Eagles utterly suck lol lol.

Springsteen superfan Stephen King is the only person I can think of that would drop 5K to see this commie idiot. Springsteen could play in the field on the other side of the road, and I wouldn’t bother attending...even for free.
I’d take the $5000 if I could listen with silencers.
It takes a special kind of stupid to pay these ridiculous high ticket prices. No one is forced to go. I can’t feel bad for those who are that stupid but do wonder what their families had to do without in order to buy the tickets.
She won a silver medal at the Olympics last summer.
Ian just laughs about it, now...sort of.
;D
He should do a free concert on the beach at Asbury Park for as many people as possible. The townships should kick back a percentage of beach fees that day to municipalities that host busses to take people to the beach for the show.
That would make Springsteen a mensch and not a chaza.
What the hell? Are they insane? He has about 5 hit songs his entire career, just what do they think is valuable in that catalog that is worth half a billion bucks?
“You couldn’t pay me $ 5000 to listen to him for 5 minutes!”
If you were in a military barracks in ‘77 you probably heard the hell out of Bruce Springsteen cuz that’s all those NE grunts played. Over and over and over, the counter was Lynard Skynyrd over and over and over again. P-Funk was happening too... I miss those days of monster stereos and trying to grab some shuteye after an all night watch.
Boogie-wonderland...
The people snapping up those high ticket prices can easily afford them. The Baby Boomers (the primary Springsteen demographic) are at the very pinnacle of their wealth creation. They have mostly retired or are about to and are now spending down all the money they made on their investments the past 40 years. So they can afford to splurge, especially to relive a part of their youth.
Bruce Springsteen (and other Boomer acts) are simply taking advantage of that fact. Who can blame them?
This is hilarious
“Daddy I want a pony! I WANT A PONY!!”
“Yes dear, yes dear, immediately daddy will get you a pony.”
“Everybody in the band, play harder faster! The daughter of the boss wants a pony!”
Saw him at the Pony numerous times. Always a good show. Then he went woke. Thunder Road is my jam and Sherry Darling my party song. Aside from that, no longer have an interest. Give me a ticket I’ll see him, but won’t spend a dime on a ticket.
They must be Putin’s ticket price increases!
Wouldn’t pay 3 cents to see the arsehole.
A draft-dodging, anti-American piece of garbage.
Paying to go to a concert might be the new least of my worries, now that it has been mentioned..:)
