I would expect to be fired if I turned up for work 3 hours late with no call or no good excuse. Don’t let the door hit you on the butt on the way out.
Do kids have no dreams or things they want anymore or is it all supplied by mummy.
Ah, the benefits of youth. I can remember gas at $.24 per gallon and you could buy a new car for less than $4,000. Of course a computer was about the same price as a new house.
“I was a McD’s morning grill crew kid.”
I worked the grill when I was at MacDonalds. One of few women who asked for that, most worked the register. It was not easy but not difficult as I was a Home Economics major.
I don’t think they have the grill anymore, somehow the meat is heated another way.
That is usually a big part of the problem. I know some young people who have left jobs because the management could not or would not keep the staffing level where it needed to be. After a month or so of trying to keep their department running they moved on to better jobs. Their management had so much turnover that the kids I knew ended up having to work with a team of people who often had less than a week on the job, and no manager in sight to do any training.
After having to stay late, or go back to work to help a struggling new employee left alone to do a job they had no idea how to do, the kids who did show up and knew what to do moved on.
Managing a team of people isn't easy. If the employees you hired don't care enough about their jobs to show up you are failing as a manager.
They also cleaned your windshield and check the oil and tire pressure too 😁

Went to a Chic-Fil-A in Hermitage, Tennessee. Sat two minutes in parking lot before going in to eat, 20 cars in drive thru ( in just two minutes), and moving thru as fast as they drove up. The line was never past the driveway, everyone moved fast. While we eat we watched it continue, I think a least 200 cars went through during our meal. I was impressed not only with our meal but with the service. Compare that to waiting 15 minutes in line at McD’s, with 2 or 3 cars ahead, and you have to ask for napkins.
My brother-in-law’s daughter, who was raised differently from these people, was worried about an interview for a job she wanted. He said to just show up dressed as if you want the job and you will get it. She did and kept it by behaving normally according to standards of the family.

A few days ago was close to a Chic-Fil-A in Temple Tx. Amazing how they moved so many people in the drive thru. I thought it was McDonalds but no Chic-Fil-A they have something right.
” For Haverford undergraduate Olivia Legaspi, college taught her that her feelings are more important than anything; “
I missed that class!
They didn’t seem to mention the location. Maybe the employees are all on “black people time”.
We don’t have one really convenient to us either; but the one time I hit one, I liked the fries.
Amazing that folks whose ancestors were slaves don't realize that.

Interesting little video of the lad. I remember the times very well. I grew up in a rural area and worked much of my
early years until college at which time I relocated.
Lyle is a real go-getter.
