Would you believe $0.77/gallon where I lived?

Ah, the benefits of youth. I can remember gas at $.24 per gallon and you could buy a new car for less than $4,000. Of course a computer was about the same price as a new house.

In ‘73 I bought a leftover ‘72 Fiat 128 from the dealer, for $1650, gas was $0.25.

That was a great little car, kept it twenty years.
