I will say in Springsteen’s defense (and I’m totally not a fan) that’s a car he’s owned for 47 years.
He wrote one good song (”Blinded by the Light”) and the version he performed isn’t even the best version.

Eh, you’re selling him short. His first 2 or 3 albums are brilliant. “4th of July, Asbury Park”, better known as “Sandy” really is a great, great song.
Of course had Brucie been a conservative, rather than left wing scum, he pretty much would have been blamed for Super Storm Sandy. Which would have been unfair, but I’d bet my last dollar that’s what would have happened.

Bob Seger palled around with Springsteen for a while in LA back in the day. Bob said Bruce would give up on a song quicker than anyone else he ever met. Said if a song didn’t come together in 4 or 5 days Springsteen would throw it away and never look at it again.
