Pretty much anyone who is not a Marxist is considered far right.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the Ukraine War has something to do with it...basically attempting to discredit the Russian government’s embrace of the Orthodox Church, while the church there supports the government (instead of trafficking Illegals, for example, or calling for ‘Climate Justice’).
They fear something similar in the US. The major churches here finally rid themselves of the hate-America infiltrators that have climbed through their ranks and unify in support of a MAGA-style of governance (election integrity, Second Amendment, ending involvement in wars around the world, taking back education from the pervs, taking back the First Amendment from the tech companies).
And that is something that should scare the crap out of the Left.

Amazon, for example, sells a pro-police “Thin Blue Line” flag that features Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” On Etsy, there’s a T-shirt that features a truck, an eagle, a cross, and an American flag, with the words “Jesus Take the Wheel.
So,, supporting the Police and asking Jesus to take control is “christian Nationalism”? Not bowing down to Marxism, too? Not supporting LGBQT???
This is only the second time I seen Christian Nationalism” mentioned. I asked what is was the first time and got no answers. I would like to see a balanced article for more information, but, it seems, you are right that the left has found another bogie man.
It is very hard to find balanced information on this subject. I did notice that the founding fathers left many Bible quotes on monuments in DC. They did not want a particular Christian religion to be in the forefront (thank you Baptists) but there is little doubt we were founded as a Judaeo-Christian nation.

Believe it or not, much of the hatred for Christianity today by the average leftist is due to our positions on abortion and homosex. This all got stirred up by the idea that man can communicate with God, and doesn’t need to go through the government to do so. The globalists need you to depend on them, not on your own resources. They stimulate the emotionally feeble into rising up to do their bidding.
So instead of doing the usual, call them names back.
Use the names all the time

They say that people who are Christian nationalists don’t call themselves that, then go on to say how bad it is to attach Christ to nationalists. So they provide a name, then go on to tell us how bad that name is. Amazing.
Oe of the Lefts most effective victories was the “separation of church and state”. It gave them free reign for decades. They’ll do all they can no to keep a muzzle on Christians.
