It’s now dust season and winter on Mars, meaning there’s more dust in the air and less sunlight to help recharge Ingenuity’s batteries. Dust levels are expected to subside later in July, so the team has decided to give the helicopter’s batteries a break for a few weeks and build their daily state of charge back up. Weather permitting, Ingenuity is expected to be back in the air around the start of August.
Our green energy will need month-long outages several times a year too. Welcome to the stone age.
We seem to have the same issue here recharging Tesla batteries in Texas dues the hot summer conditions. It’s all good, if we can tell people they can drive and charge batteries walk here, we tall mars inhabitants the same 🤣
Ain't that the truth.
Mars... it's covered with rocks! 😃
We need a program to combat global dusting!! Biggest threat to the Universe - we’ll all by DEAD by 2030 if we don’t tax.... er, do something about it!
Maybe they can say hello to ET for us.
