This is not an accident, this was negligence by an adult who left a weapon where children could find it.
That individual should be prosecuted.

Now do one where someone turns away an assailant with a legal firearm.

Here in Kalifornia Governor Nuisance is quite eager to insure that children are ignorant about firearms. Five years old is plenty old enough to understand that firearms are not toys and that they can do irreversible damage. That is what I taught both of my kids at that age.

When I was young, I and all of my siblings knew where my Dad's 12 gauge shotgun and .22 rifle were in his closet. After I turned 10 years old that is where my and my brother's 20 gauge shotguns were too. We all knew if we ever touched them without his knowledge and permission he would have whaled the tar out of us into next week.

No such thing as an accident; it’s all premeditated carelessness.

Agree that this is negligence on the part of the gun owner, but the gun grabbers want ALL guns locked up regardless of whether that are young kids around that can get to them.
Gun grabbers say they want to prevent tragedies like this but instead they thrive on them.
