What part of that most basic definition has ANY connection to age (or even the health/life of the pregnant female)?
There is no epidemic of 10 year olds being raped and getting pregnant. Nor will there be.
Because criminals do not care about laws or what is legal. Rapists dont care if abortion is legal or not. They would be raping them in droves if this was what they wanted to do. Note the women care nothing about girls raped by women.
Its the same crap as the “it will be the wild west if we let people carry guns” bs. It doesn’t happen and it never will. It will never turn out to be anything other than an esssntial statistical zero probability chance for all practical purposes.

This is the first I heard of that. So sad her on mother is ambivalent.
It was Catherine Glenn Foster, the president and CEO of Americans United for Life saying it. She was asked if a 10-year-old should have her rapist’s baby, and Foster said that her abortion wasn’t actually an abortion.
Then with that logic, a rape of a ten year old is not a rape.
That isn’t the point. “abortion” is not a “living term” that morphs into whatever is convenient for it to mean in any given relative-moralism context.
ABORTION is, quite simply, the termination and evacuation of an unborn child (from implanted fertilized ovum to natural birth). It can also apply to an unborn baby that has ceased to be alive.
One can argue all they want about the morality of a 10-year-old becoming pregnant from being raped. And one can also discuss the morality of killing that unborn child. But lets not redefine the term to make it less than what it is - it still is the termination of life and evacuation of said unborn baby. Period.
But - this particular question was a trap that the representative of Americans United for Life fell right in to. The number of abortions that are connected to rap (all ages) is extremely small as a percentage. And when you filter for age - you will be VERY VERY hard-pressed to find cases at all. It is a red herring intended to get this unprepared CEO to change the definition...
