Respect muh authoriterr.
He deserves the third degree.
There was nothing here that happened that couldn’t wait a half hour to attend to.
Happened to a friend of mine in DC. He was allowed to quietly resign. They found a spot for him on the fire department.
When I was an officer, I once handcuffed a postal inspector to an iron gate. He wasn’t a happy camper.
“We ask for patience”
No.
A cop with zero common sense and an infinite ego should not be a cop.
What we have here is a classic Power Struggle.
That cop could have waited out of compassion for the emergency patient. Must have felt ‘dissed’. Most EMTs take their jobs deadly seriously, as one would want them to do.
Maybe the EMT told the officer; “C’mon, Man, take a Chill Pill! Can’t you see I’m busy?”
“There was nothing here that happened that couldn’t wait a half hour to attend to.”
In a half hour the officers upcoming donut break would be over.
You are delusional if you think there will be ANY consequence for the jack-booted thug.
The result of the investigation will be, as it ALWAYS is:
We investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong.
This has been pretty standard for a large number of police forces in North America for the last 40+ years.
The remarkable and extraordinarily rare event is when the investigation results in ANY form of discipline for the officer(s) involved. Normally they just get a paid couple of weeks vacation (suspended with pay) or moved to a desk job for a few weeks until the incident blows over and is forgotten.
Officer god mad. At least he didn’t shoot the EMT.
[A cop with zero common sense and an infinite ego should not be a cop.]
Firefighter parked the truck to protect the scene. CHP wanted lanes open. They have some sort of quota or record kept as to how many lanes are closed and for how long.
Police are conditioned to react to any perceived defiance. You have to be totally submissive or you risk death. If you feel you are being treated unfairly, save it for later. You’ll live longer that way.

Another POS Cop?
What a surprise.

When the SHTF, they will not be on your side.
They’re not on your side now.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Seventeen posts and no one questions the cop parking in the ambulance entry of the ER, close enough to interfere with the operations of the EMTs
And when a shooter does show up at your kids school, they are more concerned about protecting their pension benefits, than your kids.
Sure, cynical. To some extent, why would they do otherwise? Certainly the powers that be do not have their backs. In general, I will give the benefit of the doubt to the cops over the criminals. But, you're right, they are not on your side, they are on their side.
