Obvious? Because I quoted Acts? I wouldn't put as much conclusion into that as you have.
The point is that the "Unknown God" pretty much encompasses every iteration, at least that's how I understand it.
But they possess an innate sense that there is a God behind the perceptible Universe.
Yeah. The "Unknown God." :)
Well, you’ve got me half-laughing.
:)
And is there a ‘known’ God?
Depends on who you ask, though I think most people don't know him so very well as they might claim. :)
He also gave man dominion over all things. If I choose not to suffer, that is my choice. Not the purview of others.
No He did not. After sinning, that dominion was withheld; take note of Hebrews 2:8. Not to mention, the original dominion in Genesis 1:26-28 was specifically over the animals.
Well every individual case is different..... Dr.s should be able to give seditives to dying patients rather than be concerned about addiciton laws....or restraint limitations for patients completely uncontrollable who not only are violent and hurting hosptial staff but their family visitors as well.
We will have to agree to disagree. I will control what happens in my life. Neither you nor anyone can tell me otherwise.
Well, I’ll stick with mine.
To quote your Paul, God endowed me with an innate sense of His existence, and that in Him I ‘live and move and have my being.’
Churches are useful to suggest the existence of God; but they don’t create conviction - that comes from within.
My father-in-law was dying of cancer for weeks, and received the drugs. The home-care person instructed everyone how to administer them, and then left everyone alone. He died at home with family around him - he was a little ‘out of it’ for a long while, but not in obvious pain.
The drugs are a great blessing. I can’t imagine what it was like when we didn’t have antibiotics or anesthetics.
“so just stop eating, drinking and taking your meds....you’ll die in 4 days.”
I sincerely hope you never have to watch a loved one drown in their own blood right in front of you.
I pushed the needle when the time came and we were both grateful to the medical people who set it up.
I’ll settle things with God in due course.
L
God bless you - and God will.
......”I can’t imagine what it was like when we didn’t have antibiotics or anesthetics”.....
Most people wouldn’t be able to imagine unless they’ve seen it themselves in a beloved family member. What you see is unimaginable....it goes well beyond misery.
This (Cosa Nostra) is one of my obsessions.
