UPDATE6:41 PM PT -- LeBron is following up on his comment regarding Griner ... saying it wasn't meant to "knock" America, but an attempt at understanding how she's feeling throughout her incarceration. "My comments on 'The Shop' regarding Brittney Griner wasn’t knocking our beautiful country," LeBron tweeted minutes ago. "I was simply saying how she’s probably feeling emotionally along with so many other emotions, thoughts, etc inside that cage she’s been in for over 100+ days!" "Long story short #BringHerHome" LeBron James says Brittney Griner's been in captivity for way too long without the U.S. bringing her home, so if he were the WNBA star, he'd question returning to America.

I cannot understand why anyone other than her “wife” or family feel that Griner needs to be “brought home”. She’s not a political prisoner. She’s not working for the government. She was busted in a foreign country for a crime that our own TSA apparently didn’t notice.
Imagine the utter lack of awareness that any maroon would be endowed with to not anticipate said backlash.
