"We can no longer remain spectators of the ongoing climate disaster. We have 989 days left to save our future, our humanity," Derniere Renovation said on Twitter. "The finish line is a ravine and we are calling on our government to turn immediately." "Our goal is to force legislation to drastically reduce France's emissions, starting with energy renovation, the area most likely to bring together social and climate justice today," the group continued.

That’s March 27, 2025, just so you know. Plan accordingly.
That sounds like my not so illustrious bike racing career.
Where do these fruitcakes come from?
Let's see by my reckoning, if these nut-jobs had that on their shirts with July 12 as the beginning of the countdown, that would mean the end of the world would be
Thursday, March 27, 2025 - because they said so, I say it will be a day just like any other - maybe more so...
They'll all be hiding when that day comes and goes just like all the other nut-jobs that predict the day the end will come especially because of something as stupid as the weather.
Actually these fruitcakes make a mockery of the truth which is that we are actually in the end times These nut-jobs make the unwary skeptical of what's actually coming soon. They're actually pretty destructive in doing so.
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 2024.
These days I’m not allowed to be in the same room as Lycra, much less wearing it.
Jacques Anquetil would have said:
Second to notions of an Almighty that is not the State, leftists are most threatened by individualistic human achievement.
t is fitting they should choose The Tour for their pantomime.
Amen to that, bro.
I was a locally ranked BMX racer back in the 80s. Last is still a ranking. I was doing great until upon from a medium-sized jump I remembered why I got my Allen wrench and my Kentucky adjustable out of the toolbox before the race. My handle bars folded like a cheap suit.
Let the good times roll!
The bike shop I owned back in the 80’s had a BMX team. I tried riding some races and it was a disaster. When the spectators cheer every time the slightest bit of air is embarrassing. Fortunately my psyche isn’t scarred, my left shin though still has a faint reminder from a Hutch pedal. :)

I’m a little confused though I always thought Hinault was called the Tiger not the Badger.
So bikes are bad? I’m so confused!
Liberals ruin everything.
I've had a couple of spectacular wipeouts on my BMX bikes. Neither were on the track. Both were a conspiracy of lack of coordination, gravity, and a juvenile disdain for the laws of physics. Only one resulted in a trip to the doctor to remove chip seal shards and tar from my hands and knees.
The other resulted in my neighbors wondering if my family had gone mad as my dad came out the door and asked me to repeat what I'd done because he'd missed it. They even asked if I was okay as I was sitting on the street bleeding from my hands and knees once again. But no tar and chip seal shards this time. It was funny thinking about it. About a month later.
Let them leave you up in the air...
France uses nuclear energy to produce about 70% of its electricity. Recently France announced plans to build 10-20 more nuclear power plants.
The next Ice Age is coming, and countries like France have a head start. Germany is shutting down nuclear power, and ‘temporarily’ digging coal like crazy. I doubt the French will welcome all the shivering Germans when the ice comes.
The Badger was a badass.
