On Monday, the city of New York launched a new public service announcement (PSA) that provides guidelines about what residents should do in the event of a nuclear attack.
Unfortunately, New Yorkers who watch the PSA will likely be severely ill-prepared should a nuclear weapon detonate in their vicinity, as the video provides little in the way of specifics or useful information. Instead, the short clip instructs citizens to follow a rudimentary 3 step plan that leaves them completely reliant on the powers that be to come to the rescue.
According to the PSA, New Yorkers should 1) “Get inside” 2) “Stay inside” and 3) “Stay tuned” – or, as the narrator clarifies, “follow media” – in the event of a nuclear attack. After walking through the steps, the narrator hammers home the last point by commanding that the audience “don’t go outside until officials say it’s safe” to do so.
The video does not address what to do if one requires medical attention or food.
Sounds awfully similar to another step-by-step process that has been pushed recently – wasn’t get inside, stay inside, and don’t come out until the experts deem you can the basis of Covid lockdowns?
Wash. Rinse. Repeat. However, this time we are talking about a nuclear attack – something much more deadly than the fear-porn peddling Covid cultists could ever hope for with the virus.
But, instead of preparing the public for the horrific scenario, the lack of relevant information in the NYC PSA aims to create dependent masses who are reliant on the experts. And, it’s at a time when we are knee-deep in a proxy war with a country that possesses over 4,000 nuclear warheads.
It’s no coincidence this type of PSA is being released with what’s going on in Europe and the Pacific – whether it be to stoke fears or because of a legitimate, burgeoning threat. Nevertheless, the likelihood of a nuclear attack hitting NYC is currently slim to none, even according to the NYC Emergency Management Department, which put the chances of a strike at “very low.”
But, according to NYC’s Emergency Management Commissioner Zach Iscol, the threat of a nuclear strike is “imminent.”

I heard hiding under a classroom desk is the ultimate protection.
Or wear a 😷 mask
Russia takes civil defence serious as a heart attack they have shelter space for the entire population of Moscow for at least a month twice the length need for fallout decay. Look up at the link above that’s one of hundreds of doors in their deep subway system that was set deeper than needed specifically to be used as fallout shelters. Hate on Russia all you want but she takes a keen interest in the survivability of the Rodina.
And don't forget to take the dreaded Pfizer Covid vaccines either. Chuckle.
I know right...about the same effectiveness.
I actually worked inside NCMC (NOTAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex) in the early 70s. They have blast doors inside that granite mountain that are just as strong. TWO of them, in fact, with a space between to move a bus in to enter the open-close-open-close sequence. We actually had to ride a bus from the outer turnstiles where wallet badges were exchanged for interior badges to even get to the inner doors.
We were all told that when the complex was built when Russian missile targeting wasn’t that accurate and that at least 15-30 minutes of survivability was all that was needed to use the ring-and-spoke C&C system to direct a nuclear response. Offutt AFB (B-52s), multiple outer ‘spoke’ sites with missiles, etc. and the like. None of us who would be caught inside when it hit expected to do anything but maybe survive for 30 days or so. Today? Targeting would demolish the entire complex in one hit, IMO.
The ONE thing that Russians had/have going for it for its citizens is that US targeting normally wouldn’t be targeting mass population centers (but, with Democrats in control I’m not so confident of that now).
About all I can say is that the command structure of this country now is replete with nothing but scum looking out for themselves.
That seems familiar for some reason...
Just something to consider: Are these preparations the Russians have still operational? These were made during the Cold War, and there have been MANY changes in Russian ideas and politics since then.
I mean...if the balloon does go up, what’s to say that a group of Russian people survive in one of those bunkers, only to go to one of those ‘pre-positioned supplies’ and find that it’s been looted long ago by the Russian Mob? Or that the government forgot about it (because they had no money to maintain them)?
They certainly used to care about their civilians...but what about today?
Above all, always follow the science and obey the authorities, if you want to die for sure.
Imagine a city the size of New York trying to feed itself after a few blasts. Surviving a blast is possible if in the right location, but give it a few days and watch survival get brutal.
Hey Gaffer, when were you there?
I was there from 1976 through 1979.
Worked in the Philco computer center. Delta, 425L (fornicator) and Offline, then up in the MEBU with the Univac 1106 and 1100/40...
All the way to the very top.
No scoff here. Getting right with God via surrender to Jesus Christ is our only recourse. He offers to take our sins upon Himself and to grant us His righteousness in a straight-across trade. Yet people refuse.
Or water or 3rd degree burns over 100% of your body.
Plus, how exactly are people supposed to listen to the media when there will be no electricity?
Yeah, because we all know to trust the government to make wise decisions for us.
Exactly. This is just some fear porn, trying to get people to do what the government tells them to do.
Good book.
Ah yup, brain Fart on my part.
Yup- it was an amazing story of.survival. once would be bad enough, but twice was unreal.
