CNN — A stellar nursery where stars are born, interactions between galaxies and a unique view of an exoplanet are just some of the new cosmic images that will be shared Tuesday.

After decades of waiting, it’s finally time for the world to see the first images taken by the most powerful space telescope ever – the James Webb Space Telescope.

Development of the world’s premier space observatory began in 2004, and after years of delays, the telescope and its massive gold mirror finally launched on December 25.

The images are worth the wait – and they will forever change the way we see the universe.

President Joe Biden released one of Webb’s first images on Monday, and it is “the deepest and sharpest infrared image of the distant universe to date,” according to NASA. The rest of the high-resolution color images will make their debut on Tuesday.

There are several events taking place during Tuesday’s image release, and all of them will stream live on NASA’s website.

Hey Man, you think I could borrow that again this weekend?

Sure, but last time, I got it back with only a quarter-tank of anti-protons. Please fill it up this time?

The so called science-fiction genre is 99% fiction.

And I actually agreed with you. But there are many places we can explore well within the range of our technology. Why wouldn’t we take advantage of that?

I can’t wait to see the rest! Not only have we been waiting for months, YEARS, even- I’m tired of looking at pictures of Hunter Biden naked.

We are living a nightmare. I cannot even think about “nice things”. If you use it as a diversion go for it.

We can focus on NASA’s two hobbies:

Photography
Remote controlled vehicles.

How can this be? The article states these images are 4.5 billion years old. And here I thought the earth and the “firmament” were only 6000 years old. https://answersingenesis.org/age-of-the-earth/how-old-is-the-earth/

So you are depressed and hopeless. Therefore any new knowledge about the universe on a macroscopic scale is useless.

Okay. You be you.

To those of us who want to understand and push the boundaries of knowledge, you are useless. Nothing but an old fart shouting at the skies because he’s unhappy.

Don’t try and say you were one seeking understanding and claim these endeavors are fruitless. Your imagination is limited as to what success is. James Webb is reaching out and pushing our limitations on the universe.

It’s odd how you come away with the feeling of futility
, while so many others feel wonder, excitement and challenge.

Waiting for the inevitable reply of you declaring I am some sort of moron for being thrilled at new discoveries and the expansion of human understanding.
