Doomsday political scenario takes shape for Democrats
The Hill ^ | 7/11/22 | Michael Schnell, Hanna Trudo

The midterm election doomsday scenario for Democrats is becoming clearer, scarier, and more real as inflation and gas prices remain stubbornly high and dissatisfaction with President Biden is through the roof.

Democrats are seeing their chances of retaining the House slimmer than ever, with both history and the dreary political environment working against them. In the Senate, where the party had hoped strong swing state candidates could help save the majority, fears are also growing.

It seems that wherever voters look, things are bad in Biden’s Washington - and getting worse.

“Democrats haven’t done things they promised,” said Connor Farrell, a strategist who founded the progressive consultancy Left Rising. “In this environment, the best general election candidates will be bold [ones] that can distinguish themselves from what we’re getting from the White House.”

The high national anxiety - which many lawmakers, operatives, and activists are now openly acknowledging as problematic - was further laid bare when a poll released by the New York Times found that just 13 percent of voters surveyed think the country is on the right path. More strikingly, 64 percent of Democratic voters want someone other than Biden as their nominee in 2024.

The high prices of daily essentials, a gloomy appraisal of what’s happening around the country, and the prospect of more impending losses are leaving Democrats more concerned than ever about their odds in November.

“Democratic leadership should look no further than the fact that they need to wake up and step up to the plate,” said Jon Reinish, managing director at the political strategy firm Mercury.

“What else do they expect???”

If you read the article, they are in disarray. There are demonkraps who believe their “progressive candidates are best positioned to survive the crosswinds ... [progressive candidates] are more forceful in advocating for what [demonkrap] voters actually want - bold leadership.” There you have it - after 2 years their success will be guaranteed if they have progressive “bold leadership”. With gerrymandered districts, these progressives will win without having to lift a finger. That’s not where the action will be, but that is where their leadership will be stationed.

If anyone believes that the commiecrats are going to sit idle and watch themselves get decimated in the mid term election, I have a bridge that I have available for sale! IMHO 2020 was a warm up for the voter fraud. I suspect things will get much worse!

"....I have total faith that the Republicans will make a mess of this."

And I have total faith that they are up to that task.
(Of making a messier mess and screwing up I mean...)

I surely admire your optimism.... But Soros is STILL alive and nothing has changed for the rats. They have to win, hook or crook. If not, a lot of them will go to jail.. Maybe even Hillary, and THAT would be SO COOL..!! :)

Dems have done exactly what they wanted to do with very predictable results.

There is the 35% dem/libtard wingnuts who really believe climate change, all whites are racist and Trump was a nazi. The rest are stupid dems who simply don’t know any better.

The had a terrible Nov 2020, but somehow Joe dementia wins with more votes, by a mile, than any other candidate, including down ballot democrats ( ie, all the data you need to show this game was rigged )

I think fraud is a bigger factor than we realize. I would bet that if we had truly honest elections, very few leftists/Dems would ever get into office. Even in “blue” California.

“Vote for me because I’m not a democrat” is insufficient.

At least Gingrich had a Contract with America for pubbies to run on in 1994.

I’ll not be Charlie Browned again.

Many Ds do not understand the meaning of the word “literal.” It’s just a word they use to sound smart. Another word that is thrown in because it sounds good is “actually.”

It’s almost as though we’ve graduated from whole word learning to whole meme learning. The actual building up, construction, of words, sentences, arguments, evidence and sound reasoning has been replaced by attitude.

Bush and Amerika, Trump and Putin, etc.

No matter how badly it goes for Dems in November, the MSM will spin it as a win.

I’ll bet a year’s salary the stories are being written now: “Yes, the Dems lost both houses of congress and were massacred in state houses across the country, BUT it was far better for them than predicted bla bla bla....”

No, just most of the ones with R jerseys, the ones with D jerseys are real Democrats.

Democrats don’t have to win the House - they just have to stay within the margin of fake Republicans their fraud has installed in many districts. Shouldn’t be too hard, since there are only a hundred or so conservative Republicans in the House - and maybe fifteen in the Senate.

Guaranteed it will not be 60. Not even 50. Or even 40. Or 30. I am saying no more than 20.

The numbers that made my most happy today were the % of Dems still favoring Biteme. It’s now 33 vs. the 36 % it has been for a long time. Now, even his most loyal supporters are deserting him with more to go! Totally screwed!

I think you’re right. The Demonrats have enough vote fraud machinery in place to stop an outright defeat in the House. Do they have enough states under their evil spell to prevent a similar loss in the Senate? Maybe, if RINOs help them (which they have been).

Way over optimistic, 35-40 in the House and maybe 6 in the Senate are on our side.
