The midterm election doomsday scenario for Democrats is becoming clearer, scarier, and more real as inflation and gas prices remain stubbornly high and dissatisfaction with President Biden is through the roof.
Democrats are seeing their chances of retaining the House slimmer than ever, with both history and the dreary political environment working against them. In the Senate, where the party had hoped strong swing state candidates could help save the majority, fears are also growing.
It seems that wherever voters look, things are bad in Biden’s Washington - and getting worse.
“Democrats haven’t done things they promised,” said Connor Farrell, a strategist who founded the progressive consultancy Left Rising. “In this environment, the best general election candidates will be bold [ones] that can distinguish themselves from what we’re getting from the White House.”
The high national anxiety - which many lawmakers, operatives, and activists are now openly acknowledging as problematic - was further laid bare when a poll released by the New York Times found that just 13 percent of voters surveyed think the country is on the right path. More strikingly, 64 percent of Democratic voters want someone other than Biden as their nominee in 2024.
The high prices of daily essentials, a gloomy appraisal of what’s happening around the country, and the prospect of more impending losses are leaving Democrats more concerned than ever about their odds in November.
“Democratic leadership should look no further than the fact that they need to wake up and step up to the plate,” said Jon Reinish, managing director at the political strategy firm Mercury.

I’ve seen it for years. They get in, they screw things up so badly that the country is literally begging to go back to the Republicans ....but I ask — why do Americans keep repeating this ridiculous cycle decade after decade? will we ever learn??

Right. Just as they said they’d all leave the country if Trump got in. Empty promises.

With mail in voting being put in place, dems will have a resounding victory across the board.
OR, upon a resounding Repub win, they will extend an olive branch to unify the country.

If they want to win it back, they should start having as many babies as possible.
And election fraud.
Their radical agenda is now laid bare for all to see and what’s happening to average hard working Americans is exactly what they want to happen. They are sick and evil and now anyone with half a brain now can see it out in the open.
They did not have a resounding victory in 2020 even with much more mail in ballots. The only thing they were able to pull off is the current resident.
On the contrary. The Democrats' problem is that they have done exactly what they promised.
Thing is, Democrat “solutions” will just make things worse. They don’t care as long as their pockets get lined, are too stupid to understand basic economics, or both. Sadly too many Americans are too stupid (aka Democrat voters) to realize let alone understand this fact.
And yet even with these poor performance numbers, they make no attempt to change course. Something’s up.

Democrats absolutely MUST listen to this guy and do as he says.
Don’t worry the democrats are going to get 91% of the votes. And we know how.
That being said, its only doomsday for them in elections free of fraud and a truthful mainstream media.
Yep I will never forget the last time we had resounding majorities.
The neo-cons got behind the wheel and we went into snooze mode.
That’s my fear this time as well.
