No, a perfect pet would stay off the kitchen counters even when you’re not looking. Also, it would only claw what it’s intended to claw, and it wouldn’t walk across your head when it gets hungry or lonely during the night.

Duct tape laid sticky side up solves all those problems quick and let them suffer a while before removing it.... has to imprint that those are no go zones.

My calico and I have a good understanding, she crawls up on my wife at night, mews gently once or twice till I lift up the covers so she can lay down between us.
