Shocking footage has been released by Illinois State Police of the moment an officer in a patrol car was surrounded by a mob and his vehicle came under attack.
The violence happened in the early hours of July 3 at the intersection of Division Street at Elston Avenue in just north of Chicago's downtown.
A trooper was driving southbound on I-90 near Division Street at about 2am and noticed that traffic on an exit ramp had completely stopped.
Upon driving over to investigate, a mob of mostly angry young men appeared out of nowhere as they sprinted towards the officer's vehicle.
'Chicago, we got a mob,' the officer can be heard relaying over the radio. 'They just jumped on my car.'
Dashcam video shows many of the vandals had their cellphones out as they filmed the drama for themselves.
The first attacker can be seen running towards the car and jumping onto the hood and then the roof.
Suddenly the windshield of the car was shattered by a brick.

IMHO, America’s so-called “white privilege” is the result of reality-based “white CULTURE”.
“Respect for law and order” is said to be a “white” thing.

Oh, yes, I couldn’t be more in agreement, and have said so many times over the last decade or two on this forum.
In this case, I was talking about race in the strictly physical sense with respect to the appearance of the mob.
But that is only physical.
At a more basic and fundamental level, it IS about culture, and most destructively in the black community, but as we clearly see, not just there. It is in all communities.
But I see “Black Culture” (as embodied in the racism, profanity, misogyny, rejection of the rule of law, worship of mayhem and open rejection of education and wisdom that is part and parcel of “Black Culture”) as the most advanced and speedily corrosive of all “negative cultures”.
It is the one bringing its adherents and apologists to ruin faster than any other. “Black Culture” is THE microcosm of all negative cultures.
The cop was in the vernacular, chicken shit.
He had a car. He should have run 10 12 of his attackers down and escaped the life threatening melee
Mostly angry. Mostly peaceful.
This is why we need high capacity magazines and AR-15s. The police will soon run away in fear of their lives. At that point p, the 2nd amendment kicks in.
