A Manhattan judge on Thursday lowered the sky-high bail on a bodega worker who was charged with murder after fending off a violent ex-con inside his store.
Jose Alba was being held on Rikers Island on $250,000 bail in the Friday night caught-on-video attack. The amount was reduced to $50,000, with Alba’s family and his boss coming up with the $5,000 needed to spring him on a bond.

Well. yeah.
The guy attacked is an older and smaller dude. He got “thrown” to the wall and didn't react.
It wasn't until the guy attacking grabbed him from where he was sitting and wanted to keep going... At that point all bets are off (IMHO- at that point self defense can be argued).
Sad that a younger person is dead.
The baby mamma soon to cry on TV about her poor boy that was such a nice kid (baby pictures soon to be released), with a pro bono attorney and Al Sharpton on either side (organizing some civil rights march), should have taught him manners, self restraint, discipline... Instead of learning or advancing, the black community rallies around such events and like a support group reinforces stupid and asocial behavior.
